Breaking News...

My husband and I were having a leisurely morning spending time together as a family and avoiding the computers (it's nice to have a break from them every now and then!). When Jesse finally turned on his laptop and checked his email, I heard an excited holler...

...Miers Withdraws

He's a happy man again, and I'm happy, too.

We'll both be even happier if the President gets the message which has been loudly spoken and now nominates an experienced, qualified, judicial conservative. I'm holding out hope...

Ok Crystal...I am utterly confused what is wrong with this woman...She goes to a Christian church (one of my sister churches). So what is wrong with her?

Thanks ahead for shedding light on this.

Sorry, I don't have time to transfer those into html. Just copy and paste into your browser, or do a search on the sidebar for "Miers."

Thanks Crystal...I will read and see what is going on. My dh just told me she withdrew. He said Rush Limbaugh is very pleased with the withdrawal. I am a very logical person so I need to know what the problem is with her. Anyway thanks!!

This morning when I turned on the news I thought of you and your husband, Crystal.:)

I wasn't totally surprised and I think she did a very graceful thing stepping down. I am concerned that the next nominee might not be as concervative. We all need to pray that Bush makes a wise decision.

Zan, I thought of Crystal too:o)

I am not totally convinced that Bush's next pick will have a conservative judicial philosophy either. He may feel that he can't take a chance on having another "flop" so to speak. It must be rough...he'll have ppl on both sides of the aisle ready to pounce on his choice if it goes to far in one direction or the other. I do hope, though, that he'll do the right thing regardless. If it takes a fight, I'd rather he be fighting for something truly worthwhile.
