A Love Letter
I have the following letter tucked into my Bible and I ran across it a few days ago and was, once again, so touched by it. My husband gave me permission to share it with you.
(This was written a few days after Jesse graduated from college.)
---------------------------
My Dearest Crystal,
I wanted to take the opportunity of my graduation from college to tell you thank you for all that you have done for me and the encouragement that you have been to me throughout my college career. My love, of all the regalia I wore on Saturday, the piece that I most treasured and was most proud of was my wedding band signifying your love and committment to me-- something I never dreamed I would be wearing at my college graduation.
Just think, we were two infatuated kids at my high school graduation, now we are married-- who knows where we will be at my law school graduation!
I love you! Thank you for being the wonderful wife that you are! God has blessed me so much in you! I love you with all my heart!
Only and forever yours,
Jesse
--------------------------------
I share this with you, not to lift up our marriage, but because I want you to catch a glimpse of the gloriousness which can come from a God-ordained, God-blessed marriage. It is the most wonderful thing in this whole world. Nothing can transcend the beauty of such a marriage.
For those of you who are not yet married, pray that the Lord would give you a spouse who desires to honor the Lord with their heart, soul, mind, and strength. And don't settle for anything less than God's best for you!

mmmmmmmmmmm.....what wonderful true bliss love can be when the Lord is the center of your life. Very inspiring letter Jesse.
I know you both work very hard at producing an excellent marriage. I am so encouraged to do the same in my own. :-)
Blessings on you both!
Awww...that's so sweet. Thanks for sharing, Crystal!
How precious! :) I think I will have to get busy and write a love letter tonight myself! :) Thank you for sharing, and tell Jesse thank you for letting you share :)
Thanks for sharing. It's so good to see examples of 'it is worth waiting' actually being lived out. :)
how did you know Jesse was God's best for you?
That was a sweet letter. Thanks for sharing it. It is amazing how fast time goes by. We just celebrated our 2nd anniversary on the 4th. We went to the ocean with out the little man. It brought back all the memories of when we were first starting out. We are both so much happier now. It is amazing how better our marriage gets with each day. I am blessed and so are you and anyone else reading this, who has a happy, healthy marriage. It is wonderful to have someone like my husband support me and stand by me through this life. I pray every young lady reading this will find a husband as good as mine.

Crystal, where is your courtship story hidding? The links on YLCF are broken. You can reply to me at my LJ, since I always seem to lose track of Blogger posts. ;)
What a wonderful letter; it grabbed my heart. I love knowing happy, committed couples. :) Thank you so much for sharing that.
(I can barely wait to get married!)
Crystal,
Thanks for sharing that - it was something I really needed to hear. =)
