I Am Thankful For - Part 1
Since we are now just a week away from Thanksgiving, I wanted to do a series of posts on things I am thankful for, each day just highlighting a few. I encourage other bloggers to do the same.
In a world where there is so much turmoil, confusion, grief, and pain, it is easy to focus on the negative--what we don't have, where we can't be, and what is wrong with our life. Instead, we need to "count our blessings" and develop an attitude of gratitude! No matter how hard our lives might be, there is always someone who has it more difficult.
Today I am thankful for:
1) My salvation.
Were it not for the grace and mercy of the Lord, I would be lost in darkness and sin, without hope, facing an Eternity of separation from God. My salvation is not a result of me, my works, or my goodness. It is all of God. I want to live my life poured out in gratitude to my Savior Who loved me and gave Himself for me.
2) My husband.
Next to my salvation, you are the best gift ever bestowed upon me from the Lord. You are my best friend, my confidant, my encourager. You cherish me, you love me, you support me, you pray for me, you provide for me, you protect me, and you sacrifice for me everyday of your life. I have learned so much from you and grown so much from your wisdom. You mean more to me than I can ever express in words. I don't deserve a man like you. I love you!
To be continued.

I can't get the e-mail to work...but I did/will be blogging on what I am thankful for as well...kindof have already. Thanks for the inspiration!
I'm EXTREMELY thankful for my salvation. I'm also EXTREMELY thankful for my husband.....he's a wonderful and godly man...we're about to celebrate our 14th wedding anniversary! (o: I'm thankful we're getting to see our families for Thanksgiving....we live a long way from them and it's been quite awhile since we've seen them. There are many more things I could say but I'll end with being thankful for God's provision and protection in my life (both which He mainly provides through my husband).
I agree, there is so much to be thankful for and I often need reminders. I posted a birthday list of things I am thankful for on my blog. :)
Happy Anniversary Mrs. B! May God give you safe travel too!!! :-)
Thank you C.A.!! That was VERY sweet of you to say! (o:
