Interview with Old-Paths

For anyone who might be interested, my interview in the Old-Paths.com newsletter was just posted today.

They also posted two of my very favorite recipes for Homemade Bread and 30 Minute Rolls (the best and easiest rolls you will ever make -- at least, in my estimation!).

Crystal,

Just regular yeast for the rolls? And does the dough enhancer make a big difference?

Thanks!

In the past you have talked about your disgust with families that only want 2.5 children. In this interview you reinstated your own love for a large families. I was wondering if Kathrynne is the only child you are able to have, will you feel incomplete? Will you be content if only are able to have 1, 2 or 3 children?

Katie: Yes, regular yeast. You don't have to use dough enhancer. It's totally up to you. I honestly can't tell a huge difference.

Ash: I have never mentioned disgust with families who only want "1.5 children" -- if you can find anywhere I said that, I would definitely remove it and apologize. I am saddened by families who choose to limit the number of children they have instead of accepting them as blessings from the hand of the Lord. But I am not disgusted about it. That is a terribly strong word and not one I would use.

If Kathrynne is the only child God gives us, we will not feel incomplete because God knows better than us. We would love to have a large family and hope and pray for such, but God knows what is best for us. If He knows that we can best be used for His Kingdom with only one child, we will joyfully train and raise her to the glory of God. My contentment is not found in my husband or my children, but ultimately in Christ.
