It's Blistery Cold Outside...

The perfect kind of day for soup and hot cocoa.

The weather here is sure unpredictable. Just last week, it was in the 70's and right now, it is 30 degrees. Brr! It even snowed for a short bit yesterday morning.

What do you like to do on a cold, winter day? Here's a little peek at what's happening around the blogosphere...

Deb recommends Cocoa Classics.

Carrie's baking Christmas Cookies on their first snow day.

Emma gives us a recipe for French Hot Chocolate.

Erin blogs about giving Gifts from the Heart.

Jessica's family went camping.

KimC "justifies" the convenience items she buys (if you ever feel badly for buying anything pre-made or using paper plates, head on over to her blog and you'll be encouraged!)

Cheryl tells us why it's great to be a lady. (Oh, and yes, she even talks about the day she came over and I was still in my pajamas -- you probably don't want to miss that!)

Lady of Blessings share pictures of her latest creations.

Heather gives us tips and hints for knitting.

It doesn't snow in Florida but if I were snowed in then I'd be working on my novel.

Hey I finally learned how to link. So I linked you Crystal. Of course other computer things are still rather confusing. My blog is http://formerlostgirl.blogspot.com if you want to link me. If not it's cool.

Up here in CT, everyone gathers very, very early at Starbucks... egnogg lattes are now available, and "the store" is warmer than home :(

It is just wonderful when the season turns so cozy, isnt it? Crystal, are you in Texas? My family down in SA tells me about their cold snap, and your description rings a bell.

Enjoy the day!

It's cold here in MO. Being from MN, it doesn't bother me so much.

OOOOh! 5 degrees! Is your skin dry enough for you, yet?

It was a balmy, rainy 60 degrees yesterday, here in NH, and today it is clear and in the low 40s. Weird unpredictable weather is normal for New England. We are supposed to get a Nor'Easter for Thanksgiving. Of course the weather could change.

Actually Zan, I learned really FAST in North Dakota to have hair spray and really good lotion readily available at all times! When we first moved there, my hair stood on end!!!!!!!! No kidding! :-)

lol. The lotion is actually the solution for the hair too, at least if you have fine straight hair like mine. After you put the lotion on your hands, run them over your hair. You don't want gobs of lotion on your hands, just a tiny bit like your hands would be after lotion anyway. It helps a lot with static. :-) Where in MN are you? Here in Mpls it got up to 20, I think. Maybe even 22. But this morning was FREEZING!

It isn't quite as cold here yet as MN, but soup sounds good here too! I suppose I should pull out my coat soon!
