Relaxed, Refreshed, and Rejuvenated!
Ah! I love Sundays!
We had a delightful day yesterday fellowshipping, being inspired, and resting our weary souls and bodies. Even though we slept in late, we somehow managed to get presentable and out the door on time. Jesse had brought the hymnbook along and we sang hymns together on the way to church. What a sweet thing. Even Kathrynne joined in.
The sermon was on God's forgiveness and then we spent a lengthy time of confession and quietness before we had communion. I needed to quiet my heart before the Lord and confess my hurriedness and busyness and my lack of keeping my priorities in order these past few weeks. After church, we stayed around to visit for a while and then went over to a family's house for lunch.
As soon as we got home, we crashed into bed and didn't wake up until a few hours later! We spent the evening just talking and enjoying Kathrynne. We also listened to a wonderful sermon on The Lord's Table by Alistair Begg. That sparked some deep family discussion, which is always delightful.
I'm so grateful for one day in seven to revive ourselves and renew our walk with the Lord. Of course, everyday is to be a day for worship and glorifying the Lord, but a day of rest to set aside all the busyness and cares of life is such a balm!

I took a three hour nap...guess it was that kind of day
I always look forward to Sunday naps, too - the one day that I am sure (well, usually!) to get one. And I certainly don't feel one bit guilty about it now that I'm pregnant. :-D
