We Must be Radically Separate

Read Carmon's excellent post on Gender Confusion.

These closing paragraphs particularly stood out to me:

As more of the veneer of morality is wearing off society, it is going to be important to actively help our children to remember the holy standard God has set and His design for marriage and the home. The blurring of distinctions between the roles of men and women has only contributed to the so-called gender confusion so prevalent today. And the church has been not just passively accepting this fuzziness, but actively promoting it.

We must be radically separate from the world’s influence, but we must also influence the world by boldly proclaiming what’s true, honest, just, pure, lovely, of good report, virtuous and praiseworthy. This issue will affect each of us in some way, whether it’s because a friend or family member is involved in sodomy, or because our churches will be forbidden to tell and enforce the truth, or because we suffer due to God’s judgment on our sinful nation.

Most of you are already fighting this battle quite valiantly. Don’t give up. Love your husband, love your children and keep keeping those homes. I’ll let you in on a little secret—come closer (*looks over shoulder*)—God wins! HOORAY!
