I never do these...

Okay, so I never do memes. Well, not usually. I did one once because Mrs. Happy Housewife asked me to and she's so sweet how could I not oblige? But, then, after that one, I decided "no more" -- after all, I have plenty of other things to write about and never enough time to write about those.

But, there's been this seven things meme going around that I've almost considered doing. Especially since Amy did it (it must be the Godly thing to do, if she took the time to do it!). Then Kim tagged me, so how can I resist?

So, here goes... (Kim, sorry, I copied a few of your answers -- they were too good. :)

Seven things I hope to do before I die:
  1. See my husband fulfill his longtime dream of having his own law practice/ministry to help Christians and defend Constitutional and religious liberties.
  2. Raise Godly children up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.
  3. Develop a compassionate, humble attitude.
  4. Learn to think before I speak.
  5. Own our own home in the country with large gardens and animals -- to teach our children the value of hard work and to enjoy God's creation.
  6. Work alongside my husband to establish a home business that all of our children can participate in (we're already working towards this end, but we have much bigger dreams than our current business!)
  7. See my children walk in truth, marry, and raise their own children up for the glory of God.

Seven things I cannot do:

  1. Exercise regularly (much to the chagrin of my exercising-maniac family members who run 2-5 miles every single day --rain or shine, heat or snow!)
  2. Resist chocolate or coffee (well, not usually!)
  3. Think before I speak, consistently
  4. Follow a recipe precisely.
  5. Only do one thing at a time.
  6. Only start one project and finish it (oh, maybe that's a repeat of the above, but it's probably one of my biggest faults!)
  7. Do everything I want to do in a day!

Seven things that attract me to my husband:

  1. His love for the Lord.
  2. His desire to lead our family in Godliness.
  3. His utter selflessness and compassion and care for me and Kathrynne.
  4. His ability to be so bold and yet, always seem to be on good terms with everyone.
  5. His ability to strike up a conversation with anyone at anytime on just about any subject.
  6. His determination to stick through 7 years of grueling school.
  7. His loyalty, dependability, and consistency.

Seven things I say often:

  1. I love you sooo much.
  2. I'm hungry.
  3. Are you hungry?
  4. What do want for dinner? (anyone recognizing a theme here? It's amazing what pregnancy and nursing does to a woman!)
  5. You are so beautiful! (I say this to Kathrynne probably 25 times per day at least!)
  6. Okay, um, let's see. (Useless words, I know, I know!)
  7. Go for it!

Seven authors, books or series I love:

  1. The Bible
  2. Oswald Chambers
  3. Amy Carmichael
  4. Charles Spurgeon
  5. Books on business, homemaking, homeschooling, femininity
  6. Old reprinted books
  7. Good biographies
  8. I could go on and on and on -- so many good books, so little time!

Seven movies I watch over and over again: (Hmmm.... I'm not one to watch a movie over and over -- In fact, I will rarely ever watch a movie more than once. There's only a handful of movies I've seen more than once. Okay, so I'm weird, but I don't watch a lot of movies, I'm very particular about which ones I'll watch, I'll only watch them if my husband and I really have the time to sit down and enjoy it, and so, I rarely watch anything more than once unless I haven't seen it for at least 2 years and really liked it the first time around. How's that for picky?)

oh, I like this post. I understand your weariness with these kinds of things, but this one, here, as a surprise, was such a fun way to get to know you that little bit better.

You mightn't remember me, but I'm one of the girls off the Young Women's Forum, and I love to pop into your blog occasionally. You write things of substance and a lot of the topics you bring up give me soemthing to mull over.

Give Katheryne a kiss for me. She looks so adorable!

MHH: Oh! Now I feel badly! You can tag me, and who knows? Maybe I'll actually do it. :)

I love your answers - I'm so glad I'm not the only one who can't finish projects or do just one thing at a time!
