It's good to be home!
Jesse, Kathrynne, and I arrived home from a trip to South Carolina late last night. I'll have to tell you about our "Terrible, Horrible, No-Good, Very Bad" day yesterday in a separate entry. Despite those occurances, Thursday through Saturday were very wonderful days.
We originally had planned the trip to South Carolina for a marketing planning meeting for The Old Schoolhouse Magazine. But, after we were making our plans, we realized we would only be an hour or two away from The Wilds conference center where many of our friends and family were going to be for a week-long music conference that same week. So, we were able to plan our trip to spend half of Thursday at The Wilds. What a blessing that was!
Not only did we get to spend wonderful time with family and friends (and we even got to go canoeing and take a ride on the zip line), we also got to listen to excellent uplifting music and preaching -- something we can never get enough of! Be sure to check out Natalie's blog and CS Hayden's blog for many great pictures of the trip. (Any reference to Gretchen or Dustin in their entries are referring to my bro and sis, though I don't know if I want to claim them as such for some of the crazy pictures which were posted!)
Our meetings with TOS went remarkably well. We covered a lot of ground and put an action plan into place for the next three months. It was great for me to actually get to meet Paul and Gena and the other wonderful people who make The Old Schoolhouse Magazine such a great magazine. I'm excited to see what the future holds!
I don't have any pictures of any of our trip due to camera malfunctions. Well, actually, it's not completely the camera's fault. You see, my batteries for my new camera had gone dead and so Jesse had made a special trip to the store to buy rechargeable batteries for the trip since I have a recharger for my new camera. What I didn't realize is that rechargeable batteries have to be charged before they will work. So, all our effort was in vain since we left the charger at home. Oh well, we'll know better next time!

I had a very bad day yesterday and am curious about yours! Ours contained a trip to the store with 6 very hyper children who decided to be disobedient and a potty training accident where "stuff" ended up all over the bathroom! I guess it was just the extreme from a couple days before when I got to help deliever a baby!
