Marriage is a glorious thing!

Jesse and I celebrated our third wedding anniversary this week. Words cannot express the love I have for my husband, nor the gratitude to God I have for giving me such a Godly leader. I do not deserve his love, but, oh how blessed I am to be called his wife!
For you young women who are not married, may I just encourage you? Don't settle for anything less than God's best. Pray everyday that the Lord would bless you with a Godly, wise, and loving husband and that God would make you worthy of such a man. Marriage is a glorious thing, don't ever take it lightly!

Marriage is a wonderful thing...it's so much better when both the husband and wife are Christians. Congradualtions Crystal on your anniversary!!! I am honored to the calling of a wife. It's awesome. My husband and I will be married 5 years in June, but he's in Iraq, so I guess a simple card will have to do this time around. I don't understand how wives can belittle their husbands, weather it be in public or with friends. The other morning I was watching the Dr. Phil show and it had this couple who rushed into marriage because they slept together and the woman didn't even care for her husband, she basically wanted him out of her life. Terrible! And as an Army wife, I see lots of crazy things when the husbands are deployed. Thank God for Christians who stand their ground and hold firm to values, morals, and principals.

I am thankful to God for being merciful to me and keeping me from some of my mistakes. He saw fit to place in my life a man of likemindedness and faith. I realise that I don't deserve him, but I am glad that he loves me even with my failings. I am striving to be a more godly and submissive wife(not easy). I hope when we celebrate our 8th year anniversary(March), I will at least have become a little better in this.

I agree with Dawn Marie, it is so sad to see women belittle and mock their husbands.
I'm always reminded of the verse "except the LORD build the house they labor in vain that build it". I guess it can have many meanings, but for now I remember when I think of the verse that I want the LORD to be the one that brings a man to me, so that at the very foundation my home will be built by God.

And thanks for the encouragment on waiting for Gods best. Thats a hard to do but its pleasing to the Lord.
For me I had to learn that all over again after the Lord gave me one of the hardest tests in my life when he took the man I loved away from me. Leaning on the lord and knowing he loves me with an everlasting love that I will not ever understand and everything he does for me is for my best is a comfort to my soul.
