Taking a little poll...
I know that not too terribly long ago, I was having a problem with many not-so-nice (ahem!) commentors and I instigated some various "rules" regarding comments. At that point in time, I also disabled anonymous comments. Many of you signed up for a blogger account in order to comment, but I've heard from some of you that you'd like to comment but aren't sure how to set up an account.
I really don't want to make it difficult for those of you who want to comment to be able to do so (provided you have something constructive to say and aren't just here to troll!), but I also don't have hours in my day to spend playing Comment Police.
I've been considering turning back on Anonymous comments if there are enough people who are interested in commenting but can't figure out how to set up an account. So, help me out.
If you would like to comment but can't because you don't have an account, would you drop me an email and let me know? I'll see what the response is and then talk to my husband about it.
While I'm at it, if you read my blog and have never made your presence known, you would very much make my day if you would drop me an email and introduce yourself. Or, you can even comment to this post, if you're brave enough. It's always fun to hear from the lurkers. :)

I've lurked for quite a while. I've had a blog for years, so you can follow the link :)
Hi Crystal! I guess I'd be classified as a 'lurker' as this is my first comment. I was so delighted to find your blog several months ago as your "Polished Cornerstones" newsletter was an encouragement to me years ago. My sisters and I have enjoyed reading your posts and having our own discussions on the topics you blog about! It is exciting to see how the Lord continues to bless others through you! --Rachel Wissmann
Hello from another lurker. I'm a teen age young lady that loves to read what other Christian ladys are saying and teaching. Your blog is the only blog I really keep up with. I've thought about commenting before, but you all seem to say it before me. It's nice to be among other likeminded Christian ladys. Keep up the good work.=D

Hello Crystal, I decided to say hi now that I have a blog, and I see, from your post, that I should also introduce myself as one that has read your blog for several months! I enjoy the practical lessons and observations from your virtuous homemaking, as well as your perspectives on the many social and political issues you cover. (I contributed to your testimonies of young women who were raised to be keepers at home. I like to keep my last name anonymous online.) I don't take the time to comment on blogs very often, but just so you know, you have Amen!s coming from me. Thank you for sharing your opinions with those of us who are eager to learn from them!
P.S. We were in Kansas over Christmas and met the Hayden family, whom I believe you know.

not trolling, but still reading!

Crystal,
For awhile I didn't allow anon comments on my blog, but ran into this same problem with people not knowing how to set up a blogger account. You can switch it to allowing anon comments, but with the verification to keep spammers away.
Maybe that would be a possible solution for you. :)
I don't think Crystal had a problem with spam, it was moreless people who weren't using discourse in their discussions, opinions, and contributions to the board.
Thank you to Dawn, Rachel, Lydia, Renee, and the many others who emailed for taking the time to comment or email and let me know that you read!
Hi Jessica:
What does 'trolling' mean?
Thanks!
trolling essentially means you read mearly to stir trouble, or start fights...
