What have you done today?

Wow! Setting up a system for organization really DOES make a difference.

Somehow, in the midst of all the sickness this week, I've gotten so much done, and it doesn't even feel like I spent a lot of time on most of these things.

I usually have a big list of things to do on Saturday, but today, my list is relatively small because I did all the other things earlier this week! My house is pretty clean and dinner is planned --Hey, I really like being more organized. Why do I always think I don't have time to plan and organize? In reality, I don't have time not to!

I just finished making Pumpkin Yeast Bread, Homemade Macaroni and Cheese (for tomorrow's lunch), and Parmesan Chicken (for dinner tonight -- served noodles, with a big salad, fresh rolls, and brownie cheesecake for dessert!). I'm off to feed a fussy baby and tackle Mount Neverest. It has rapidly grown into a giant pile due to the neglect of other pressing things (i.e. sick persons) this week.

What have you accomplished today?

Crystal, your recipes sound delish; and I know how fulfilling it is to be ahead of schedule in finalizing what you're preparing for a meal.

What I accomplished today? Trip to the library, Walmart, Lowes with my husband to get paint for the laundry room, prepared tonight's meal (baked potatoes, broccoli, and chili from the freezer), and helped my daughter take pictures of the "practice" wedding cake she made yesterday and today.

No cleaning today--took Saturday off. :)

Today, I bought a new mirror for my house. It was a Christmas present from my mom that she let me pick out. Fun. I went with my hubby and we treated ourselves to a Starbucks. I also finished my article for the next issue of The Old Schoolhouse. Yeah! I'm always glad when that's done. Now I just have to have my hubby proof it. Then I'll know it's really done! For now it's off to bed.

It seems like when it becomes colder I become less and less productive.

Austyn has been a little under the weather too; mostly I think his is allergy related.

I wouldn't exactly call this an accomplishment, but my dad bought us all tickets to the circus! I'm excited. I love seeing animals like elephants close up.

Speaking of animals, I watched March of the Penguins last night. Great movie! It is a documentary, but well worth the money. The story is just beautiful. I highly recommend it!

Oh I highly recommend this film!

It is more or less a documentary, but it is so beautifully told. It is about the lives of Penguins. It shows the hardships they go through to have their young. Male penguins survive 4 months without food and survive a harsh Antarctica winter while the female penguins travel to the sea to feed and bring back nourishment to their chicks. The journey they go on is amazing. The underwater shots are wonderful! One heartbreaking part is when you see a baby chick not make it and the mother so upset that she attempts to steal another mother’s chick and the rest of the penguins have to stop her. Another good part is when the female penguin has the egg and transfers it to the male penguin so he can keep it warm under a flap of skin he has. This movie really shows one of God’s beautiful creations.

That sounds pretty cool. I think we'll rent it. I love penguins. When my daughter was younger we went to this zoo that had a penguin pool....it was so much fun just watching them swim around and socialize with each other.

Have you ever seen the Moody Science video's??? If you haven't you would probably enjoy them too. I am sure your son would love some of them!!! :-)

Thanks for the review!!!!!! :-)
