Many Uses for Lipstick
You know, having a child in the house (especially such a rambunctious and curious little tyke like Kathrynne!) sure keeps things interesting. Yesterday, she decided to do some "remodeling" of our bedroom and painted the carpet and our heater with an entire tube of lipstick.I had just checked on her and made sure she was okay and that there wasn't anything she could get into in our bedroom before I headed into another room to finish up a project. A few minutes later she appeared by my side and I smelled a strangely familiar smell wafting around. Sniff, sniff, that smells like lipstick and LOTS of it. Where could it be coming from??
When I looked down, I was mortified. My beautiful little daughter was covered in lipstick -- all over her face, her hands, and her brand-new sweatshirt and darling windpants. I knew after one look that she was not the only one covered in lipstick. I ran into the bedroom and, sure enough, a whole area of carpet had bright purplish spots painted on it and the heater was covered in lipstick (I didn't even know that one tube of lipstick held that much!!) and the bathroom floor had lipstick tracks where she had scooted in and left the now-empty tube. Don't ask me how she found the lipstick in the first place, but she did.
It was so bad it was funny. I even had to take a picture to show Jesse when he got home. Needless to say, I am very grateful for Shout. After a bit of effort and a third of the Shout bottle, our carpet, heater, and clothes are now lipstick-free.

Now you can't post something like that without a picture!
They are fast litle boogers aren't they!
I guess your little darling was taking seriously your exhortation a few posts back to "Adorn Yourselves" :o)
Esther's right...you MUST post the picture!
I agree! Picture, picture!
I'm glad to hear that you were able to clean it all way. Whew.
Oh, Kathrynne - you are SO hilarious!!! : ) : ) And Crystal - you just HAVE to send me that picture!
~Your little sis
They are so fast aren't they? I do not know how many times I have said, "They were just fine and there was nothing there!!" I had a little brother who was really quiet and was easy to forget he was around, because he was so good! He got into more things! The "best" one was when he went into the pantry and found honey and brown sugar and was playing in both! = ) He was just playing nicely and then......He was having fun letting it ooze between his fingers! He was also the only child to ever float a boat in the toilet! At least mom had 8 children before it happened!
Once our daughter decided to wash the couch with oatmeal!!I enjoyed seeing the pictures and happy for you that Shout cleaned up the mess.
Oh goodness, my little nephew found his mommy's makeup bag once (she was in the middle of unpacking from a vacation and he got his hands on it while her back was turned) and it looked like a bunch of clowns had taken over the house!
invest in "Oxyclean". hee hee!!!! Love, C.
Our daughter did this when she was just over a year old. BUT, we were not at our house. She got lipstick on her grandmas's carpet. Good thing grandma loves her too much to ever be angry about something like that!
Oh, my! They are quick aren't they! That will be a story to save to tell her when she is older. :)
Fun comments!
