Maybe I'm not such a bad mom after all....
I'm happy to report that today Kathrynne ate a few peas, a little bowl of homemade applesauce, a few bites of banana, and a handful of raisins. It is pretty bad when such simple achievements make you feel so accomplished as a mom!
In other Kathrynne news, she now has around five new signs and is working on quite a few more, mimics a lot of words and says some consistently, started standing up by herself this week, and should be taking a few steps in the not-too-distant future. Thanks to everyone's encouragement, I'm also working on training her to stay close by me where I can see her at all times. This has helped to foster a closer bond between the two of us and is also causing me to be more consistent in training her. In addition, I am spending a lot more time investing in her and teaching her since she is always close beside me. Oh, we have so much fun together!
I just had to share this adorable picture I took of her today...

Too cute! :) She's totally adorable. You should be one proud Momma!
That is one GIANT leap!!!!! Hooray!!!!!!! Give yourself a break Crystal.....you are a great mom and the training (for both mama, papa and baby) never ends!!!!!!!!!!!!! Boy have I figured that one out!!!! :-)
Oh and yes, if you keep them by your side - they become MUCH more closer to you.....I learned the same way you are.....by doing. I can tell a big difference when the mama is pre-occupied too much with Samuel. Now if I can just figure out how to do everthing with the next baby AND Sameul.....I am still working on this one. :-)
That is the cutest picture!!
Thanks for sharing.

Aww! I just LOVE little cotton dresses like that. I wish I had a dozen of 'em. They are so sweet and lady-like. :D
She's just begging for hugs. ^_^
She looks like a little birdie waiting for her next bite.
