An Opportunity to Help
A few weeks back, a woman contacted me about possibly selling a cookbook for them. She graciously sent me a copy and shared more with me about this project to raise money for a friend of theirs who has cancer. I asked her if she could write up something about this for me to post on my blog and share with you. Here is her letter:
Hello everyone! My husband and I have obtain a few cases of church cookbooks which have recipes from many of the ladies in our church as well as other individuals that make up this fun cookbook. It'd be great for newlyweds, Mothers Day gifts, and more. They are only $10 a book and all donations go toward helping a young man named Daniel Mullen, here in Michigan, who is fighting lymphoma cancer. His fight with cancer began last year in his sinus area. The doctors removed a large portion of cancer which ate away parts of his jaw, pallet, and he's lost his right eye. This young man is a born-again believer that has a Blessed Lively Hope! Recently, Daniel has learned that God addresses health and medicine in the Bible, he was scheduled to start Stem Cell chemo next month. But he now wants to go see a Bible-believing Pastor and Naturalopathic Doctor for a three week period, that will help him get on a healthier lifestyle in hopes to conquer this battle naturally with nutrition.
Please pray for Daniel Mullen (18) and his family as Daniel's decision has caused fear and division among his family. This is a time to band together to support this young man during this time. This is not a time to abandon him. My husband and I are hoping the monies received from the sale of these cookbooks will help pay for some of the expenses he is deriving during this time.
