A Day in Kathrynne's Life...

~Posted by Gretchen (Crystal's sister)~

So...I was supposed to be here to help Crystal with her business work...but I've had more fun chasing Kathrynne around with a camera! : ) After spending several days here, I've learned a lot about what most of Kathrynne's days consist of. She is constantly on the go! Crystal gave me permission to post several of the many pictures I've taken today.

Eating breakfast...

Doing "school" with Mommy.

I left Kathrynne alone for just a couple of minutes and returned to find her INSIDE the cabinets playing with the pots and pans. She had carried her water bottle in there with her. : )

Playing outside. Kathrynne was fascinated with the bugs that she saw crawling on the ground and it was all I could do to get her to look for this picture!

Picking a flower for mommy. I think this picture is adorable!

Pulling books off of the bookshelf....or maybe she was really looking for a specific book. : )

Kathrynne's first pigtails....aren't they so cute?!? I've been waiting for the day when her hair was long enough. She thought they were cute as well as she kept feeling them and saying "ahh!".

"Would you PLEASE get that camera out of my face?!?"

Combining the two best things in life...Bible reading and eating. I have found out this week that "reading" the Bible is Kathrynne's absolute FAVORITE thing to do. She is constantly asking for her Bible and wants to bring it with her where ever she goes. (And just in case you're wondering...this REALLY was the way Kathrynne was eating her dinner because she insisted on having her Bible ON the highchair with her.) : )

Needless to say, I think I have the most adorable niece in the whole world!!! (Did I hear someone say I'm biased???)

the top picture is so cute (as all of them) but i can almost "hear" her giggling in this one! This is my favorite age, but sound advice, "Crystal, sleep while you can :) " so much energy in those sweet bodies of theirs... wish i had all of it!

She is soooo cute! I love the picture with her piggy tails! How sweet is it that she loves her Bible so much!

My name is Crystal (as you can see) and I have a younger sister named Gretchen too. I think that's neat because they are both pretty unique names.

I love the one of her in pigtails, "scowling" at the camera! She is *so* cute, and no I don't think you are one bit biased, Gretchen! :)

I can't believe how big she's getting... you must have had a blast spending time with her!

She is an absolute doll! I can't believe how much older she looks since the last time you posted pictures.

My son has the same scowl!! It is so hilarious.

What an awesome responsibility to know how fast they grow and how little time you actually have to teach them what is important, isn't it?

You are so blessed.

OH, she is too cute! I have a two year old son, so I understand how busy you are keeping up with her! They are a handful at this age, but I wouldn't trade it for the world!
Gretchen, you did good getting her to stay put for the pictures! And, no, as one infatuated aunt to another, you are NOT biased!
God bless,
Rebekah

Oh, how sweet!! :D Isn't it amazing how much time Aunts have for taking photos? I love it, because as a mom, I'm usually too busy, but my sisters run around taking gobs of pictures ;) Kathrynne is adorable... and I'm sure she could keep 2 people busy all day!! :)

Oh my how she's growing! I just love the grumpy little look on her face in that one photo. She's precious, hug her tight!

I was wondering if you might post a prayer request for me on your blog. We found out on June 1st that the baby I'm carrying has Potter's Syndrome, which basically means he does not have any kidneys. The baby will most likely not survive more than a few hours after birth. We were given the choice to terminate the pregnancy or carry to term. We have decided to carry to term (like there was any other choice for us!). We want to do this on the Lord's time table, not our own. I am due on September 23rd, so I have 4 more months to carry this child. We don't know if we're having a boy or girl yet. I'm asking for prayer to help us through this time and while we are praying for a miracle, we are preparing for the worst. I've been keeping my blog updated with the most up to date information, if you'd like to read more about our situation.

Thank you!

Thank you to everyone for your kind comments! Greatchen was happy that her post garnered more comments than most of my posts do. :)

Jessica S. - We're actually not "dresses and skirts only" but we could probably be classified as "dresses and skirts mostly" :) I dress to please my husband and delight in honoring him by dressing modestly, femininely, and tastefully. We hope to raise Kathrynne to also delight in her femininity through dress as well.

LivinginAbundance - Start with my sidebar - there are quite a few blogs right there of young wives and mothers. Check their sidebars, too. There are lots of great blogs out there.
