Hi Crystal,
I was wondering if you could post something about this for me since you have so many women who look at your site. I am pregnant with our 3rd child and I am having problems finding maternity shorts that go to the knee or about 1 inch above the knee instead of 6 or 7 inches above the knee! I was just wondering if any of the women out there have any suggestions as to what stores I could go to. I'm finding the selections to be pretty scarce out there.
Thanks, Diane
Ladies, please feel free to comment with any suggestions or ideas you might have.

Check this link at Motherhood Maternity and look at the "one" pair of knee length shorts. They have sort of a "cargo" look.

I've usually been able to find appropriate things at Motherhood. I think they are on line as well as in many malls.

There is an LDS site called Knee Shorts that might have what you want. I purchased some t-shirt type fabric shorts that are really long and perfect for what I needed.
These may be a little longer then what you are looking for but they are what I would wear.

I'm probably not qualified to answer this question because I'm not a mom, but I think you might have an easier time this year due to the return of the Bermuda short. I'm trying to find a jean pair myself, but my problem is that I can't find a pair that isn't a gaucho style or doesn't have a ragged hem or deconstruction (which I'm very capable of doing myself:) )

Hi! I found 2 pair at Old Navy that I really like. They go to the knee - and are REALLY comfy! The only colors they have are brown and white.....why white would be appropriate for ANY mom, I don't know....but I bought them anyhow b/c I like the style/fit so much!!! I wear my brown ones ALL the time!!! I really like them. Other than that....I haven't found to much, but hope this helps!!!
I had this same problem when pregnant with my first child. My husband and I just had come to the point where short shorts weren't an option. What I did was buy maternity jeans, cut them off at the desired length (just below the knee in my case), and hem them. This was actually my first sewing project and wasn't that difficult. If you didn't have a machine, you could always sew by hand or use a friend's.
You could also get some long maternity skirts. I've found them quite comfortable in the summers of my 2nd and 3rd pregnancies (due in mid-August and mid-July).
Hope this helps,
Heather
Old Navy!
(Their website has a better selection of maternity clothes than their stores.)
When I was pregnant (4 years ago), I found a lot of longer maternity shorts at Walmart and at a good price.

I have never seen immodest maternity clothing, but your interpretation of immodesty is probably different than mine.
However, you might look at JCP.com
Thank you for all the input, everyone!
What about modestapparelusa.com
They don't have shorts, but they have maternity culottes that could likely be easily be customized to fit her needs.
Blessings, Dawn
