Girl's swimwear pattern now available!
After many, many requests, we are excited to announce that our girl's modest swimming suit pattern is now available!
This pattern is sold in girl's sizes 10, 12, and 14. For the month of June, we are selling it at the discounted price of $6.97. To find out more or to order a pattern, click here.
If you have any questions, feel free to email my sister Gretchen (pattern designer extraordinaire).
A smaller sized pattern for younger girls is in the works and should be out shortly. I'm also trying to convince Gretchen to do a plus-sized one since we've had many requests for that as well. We'll see. She has a lot of patterns on the drawing board right now including some new swimwear styles and designs and some adorable skirts. Stay tuned for more Fashionably Modest Patterns!

Gretchen,
Kudos to you! This pattern is the picture of modesty. You can stay cool, modest AND have a good time in the water!
Hello Crystal! I have oft seen you around the Christian Self-Publishers list, and have at last taken the time to check out your blog. It's lovely!
Just wondering if you have any modest options for swim team members. The skirt looks pretty, but I'm not sure how streamlined it would be in a race.
Rachel, thanks for visiting!

Great suit (I snagged the link, in order to mention it on my blog). Unfortunately it still won't meet my daughters' needs for a modest suit; AWANA camp requires one-piece.
We ordered the ladies'pattern, and can't wait to start it. It is pretty, modest, practical, and looks very doable, even for this inexperienced seamstress.
I'm sure the girls' pattern is just as good!
Hi Crystal,
Big Congrats to Gretchen for getting her patterns going more and more! Hooray! I can't wait to see the plus size patterns. Now, if she will just give me sewing lessons....
Rebecca, actually it doesn't have to be a two-piece. You can see what this young lady did in making hers into a swimming dress:

For those who are wondering, yes it is a tankini style, but not the usual tankini where there is a bare midriff. The top is designed so that it is long enough that you never have to worry about it coming up in the water or out of the water. I've worn my suits out of this pattern many times -- have been water-skiiing and tubing in them, too -- and never had a problem. Suits that are attached as a one piece and have a skirt tend to wear out very quickly because the water makes the suits so heavy that it quickly streches out the material. The two-piece will last much longer from what we have found.
Couldn't you temporarily sew the top and bottom together for the AWANA camp, Rebecca?
A maternity version would be great too! We quiverful ladies need swimsuits :)
I've really enjoyed your blog, and the swimsuit pattern! It was a bit of a surprise to paste the link of someone who had made a swimdress (I was seeing if anyone else had done it like me) and see my blog load up! :-)
I'm looking forward to more Cute and Modest patterns!
