Live-blogging in labor

If you've missed all the excitement over at Life in a Shoe, Kim is live-blogging her labor. No, really, I'm not kidding.

I'm almost wondering if this might be a first. Maybe I'll try it next time. At least it might give me something to do to keep my mind occupied for awhile. The things you miss out on when you have a hospital birth.

By the way, Kim (not that you'll read this right now, you have more important things to do!), we're praying for you and anxiously await the exciting news!

Update: Congratulations to Perry, Kim, and the rest of the C. family! After seven girls, believe it or not, they had a BOY!

Wow. Now I have seen everything.

She must really be into blogging.

I am saying a little prayer for her right now that every one will be OK.

My last labor is still fresh in my mind. I know what she is going through. Ouch!

I probably wouldn't be able to print what I was doing (and saying)during my labor. I guess I just perceive pain a lot different.

7 girls!? Oh. I've got 3 and figure my odds must lie in favor of a boy next time! Maybe not?

I didn't remember that you took castor oil, Crystal! Been there, done that - and hoping never to again. I think I got all your adverse effects on top of my own. ;-) At least I didn't have to take it this last time!

Oh poor you, Amie!

Yep, I did the castor oil thing. It was a sort of last resort because I had one day left before I would be induced at the birthing center -- something I really didn't want to do.

Gratefully, I was already starting labor (though I wasn't sure that's what it was at the time -- you know, first-time mom thing!) so it didn't do anything. I even at a big chicken sandwich when I was in labor (I know, I'm weird, but I was starving!).
