Just added...

We just got in a shipment of two new CDs, both of which have been tremendously helpful and encouraging to me:

Twenty-Four Hours is All You Get by Susan Bradrick

Do you find there just aren't enough hours in a day? Many home-educating mothers wind up frustrated or burned out because there simply isn't enough time for everything. Be inspired and relieved as Susan Bradrick offers practical solutions for managing a household, homeschooling children, participating in ministry, etc. Homemaking is a joy when your priorities are right!

Home Is Where the Heart Is by Susan Bradrick and daughters

All I can say is - get yourself a copy. It is worth every penny. We desperately need to hear this message as wives and mothers and to catch this vision to pass on to our daughters.

I was thoroughly convicted and pray that I don't just hear the message, but that I heed the message. I want to be a "Super Proverbs 31 Woman" - not for any worldly praise or any personal satisfaction, but because I want to honor the Lord and bless my husband and family. I want to cultivate beauty in everything in our home. I want the beauty of the Lord to radiate in all I do and say. I have so far to go, but this is what I am going to aim for, by the grace of God.

My husband deserves to be the king of a beautiful castle - our home! I want to delight in making our home a haven for him to come home to. Standing behind him and doing all I can to make him successful is the greatest work I could ever do on this earth.

You will be blessed, inspired, encouraged, and challenged in your role as a wife, mother, or daughter through this CD. I especially appreciated the beautiful testimonies from the Bradrick daughters shared on this recording. -Crystal

It's been a long time since I've listened to "24 hours is all you get", but I remember it being very good. I should dig out my copy again.

The other one sounds so good! I will have to get it! I know it must be really good--meeting the Bradricks in person was extremely inspiring and watching their lives, even for a short period, they testified that their hearts are indeed at home.

I've only met a few of the Bradricks in person a few times, but I was highly impressed and inspired by them and would love to someday meet their whole family in person.

Since you get so much traffic on this site, I am asking you and your readers to visit this blog and join me in praying for this Christian mother and her family as she battles cancer.

Crystal, I just ordered my copy....the problem is, I want every book you have....ugh! I am going to budget myself though and try and get a new book from you every month....the next one I want to save for are "The Future Christian Homeaker's Guide"...but I am wondering, can you recommend something to help me personally get started with sewing...I can do a little but I very much want to enhance my skills so that I can teach my own daughter day! Would you recommend this particular resource?

Heather, Future Christian Homemakers deals much more with cooking than sewing. It is rather like a basic cooking primer - especially good for teaching your daughters.

I'm still on the hunt for a good basic sewing course. I know there are some such as Stitches and Pins:

And there are two more books in that series, but I personally didn't really find them too attractive since I wanted something more feminine. The appeared to have pretty good basic sewing help, they just weren't exactly what I was looking for.

Anyone else know of other good basic sewing courses available? I really would like to sell at least one, maybe two or three different ones. I've searched high and low and can't seem to come up with what I'm looking for. I've been encouraging a few people I know to consider producing one themselves that I could sell, but that hasn't gone anywhere yet.

I was married this January am trying to figure 'everything' out.

What are some ways that you beautify your home? I haven't developed an eye for it in my own apartment.

What can I do with big blank walls and little money for paintings or things like that?
