Touches of Fall
I just love Fall! It is my favorite season of the year - the smell of pumpkin pies, the crisp leaves crunching underfoot, the beautiful shades of foliage! I can't believe tomorrow is the first day of September and that means all the wonderful Autumn sights, smells, and sounds are near at hand!
Mrs. Wilt is sharing all kinds of great Fall decorating tips and ideas this week so I thought I'd join in and share a picture of a fall touch we added to our bedroom this week - this beautiful wreath which we hung above our bed. I loves wreaths, they so warm and welcoming! Now, if only I could tell you that I had made it, then I would feel really fulfilled. I did, however, get it free in a barter I did with another woman. I guess free is almost as good as homemade!
Maybe someday I'll be able to whip up beautiful wreaths... I'm still working to perfect my basic knitting skills (I promise I'll share pictures soon, I have to have my little sister help me finish off one of the projects as I've never sewed knitting pieces together and don't trust myself to try it the first time around!).

Fall is my favorite season too. I'm so thankful that we started to have fall weather at least a week ago here in Rhode Island. I love it! I've been able to turn off the AC.
Pretty! I enjoy Autumn as well, however adore summer just the same. ( I was born in the Summer, maybe that has alot to do with it?)It's a bittesweet time, but love both season's none the less, God's beauty shines through!
Amen to that! I was just thinking about writing a post on how much I'm craving the coming fall!
I was just thinking the same thing. It is starting to get cool here in Chicago in the evening and in the early morning. I just when twilight comes a bit earlier & the house smells like comfort food around dinner time. Almost all of my favorite childhood memories are from the fall.
Here in Germany fall (or much colder weather) arrived August 1st! Ahhhh, it's been wonderful. 50's at night and 60's during the day. Of course with the colder weather came the holiday spirit! Oh yes, I have been watching Christmas movies, reading my Christmas novels, started Christmas shopping and got many fall and winter candles lit all the time. I am doing everything I can to not drag all my Christmas stuff up from the basement...LOL.
Last fall, Germany had some beautiful colored leaves, hopefully they will be just as pretty this year.
