Crystal, I will be the first to post and say these cookies are FANTASTIC! I did substitute butter for shortening, but I couldn't tell a bit. Even my picky, picky, 6yo dd who doesn't eat not even a smidgen of whole wheat couldn't pick it out of these! hehehe! Everyone in the family just loved them. Unfortunately, I love them too much! Thanks again for another great recipe. :) BTW, banana chocolate chip muffins are requested around here at least once a week! I had to buy more Miracle Whip!
I look forward to trying this recipe out very soon, as well as the banana choc chip muffins. My sweet tooth is really acting up, so I will have to make something soon before I go insane...LOL.
This recipe looks great! Did someone mention banana chocolate chip muffins? Oh, please share that one too! Just found your blog recently, Crystal, and am enjoying it very much... Becky :)
I just read that butter makes rolls richer tasting, and shortening makes them fluffier. Does this apply to cookies too? Maybe I'll have to try, but I can't bear the thought of spending money on shortening!
