The "12 Things" list

Because you asked, here is my morning-sickness-with-a-toddler-survival-"schedule" with my 12 basic goal to accomplish each day:

7:00-8:00 a.m.- Up/Shower

Quiet Time

There's something about getting up, taking a shower, and reading my Bible first which just makes the rest of the day go so much better. I'm really trying to make this my first priority in my day.

Make Jesse's Lunch

Kathrynne Up/Bath/Dress/Empty Small Trashes (This is her first small chore we're training her to do each morning.)

9:00 a.m. - Breakfast/Bible Time

Cleaning/Laundry (I'm trying to do basic pick-up, wash the dishes, clean one room more thoroughly, and one load of laundry every other day right now. It doesn't keep our house spotless, but it keeps things liveable and ensures nothing piles up too much.)

Make Dinner (I'm trying have dinner mostly prepared before lunch - that way it actually gets done. By the afternoon, I often can't stomach much work in the kitchen.)

12:00 p.m. - Lunch

Reading Time with K/Put K down for her nap

During Kathrynne's naptime, I either work on the computer, read, work on crafts, or nap. Depending upon the day and how I feel.

K Up/Tea Time - We read How to Be a Lady (usually just 2-3 pages) and have a snack together.

Walk - I'm trying to walk with Kathrynne for at least 20-30 minutes per day. Right now, that is pretty doable and at least gives me some fresh air and decent exercise.

6:00 p.m. - Dinner/Clean Up

K Brush Teeth/Ready for Bed/Read/Sing Hymn of the Day

K to Bed

9:00 p.m. - Bedtime for me

You see how simple that is? It's so basic and yet, it hits on all the things which are priorities in my life right now. It allows me room for flexibility to rest if I'm not feeling well, to take things slowly, and to focus on meeting Kathrynne and Jesse's needs. If I'm feeling more energetic, I can do a few extra things in the extra time that I sometimes have if I'm able to work more quickly.

It's so good to see that your schedule has been relaxed quite a bit!! It is so much more important to enjoy your daughter and not be so stressed out. I think it's great when we try and accomplish a lot but don't lose out on enjoying every moment with your children, they grow up so quickly!

Crystal,

I am due also in the first of July and I am telling you what this is a challenge. I have had MORNING SICKNESS a good bit of the day. I appreciate your outline because that is what I am trying to do. I also think your right about cooking or prep work your supper before lunch. My sickness hits around 3 ish till bed time and through out the night. Which is leaving me so tired during the next day. But I am carrying a HUMAN and there is a lot of work in that. I am trying to be a little lose. Good luck.
