Love endures all things
I received this in my email yesterday and wanted to share it here as we all need this reminder. Even if you've seen it before, I encourage you to read it again...First Corinthians 13
Christmas Version
If I decorate my house perfectly with plaid bows,
strands of twinkling lights and shiny balls,
but do not show love to my family,
I'm just another decorator.
If I slave away in the kitchen,
baking dozens of Christmas cookies,
preparing gourmet meals and arranging
a beautifully adorned table at mealtime:
I'm just another cook.
If I work at a soup kitchen,
carol in the nursing home,
and give all that I have to charity;
but do not show love to my family,
it profits me nothing.
If I trim the spruce with shimmering angels
and crocheted snowflakes,
attend a myriad of holiday parties
and sing in the choir's cantata
but do not focus on Christ,
I have missed the point.
Love stops the cooking to hug the child.
Love sets aside the decorating to kiss the spouse.
Love is kind, though harried and tired.
Love does not envy another's home
that has coordinated Christmas china and table linens.
Love does not yell at the kids to get out of the way,
but is thankful they are there to be in the way.
Love does not give only to those who are able
to give in return; but rejoices in giving
to those who cannot.
Love bears all things,
believes all things,
hopes all things, and endures all things.
Love never fails.
Video games will break,
pearl necklaces will be lost,
golf clubs will rust,
but giving the gift of love will endure.

May you truly have a Christ-centered Christmas filled with the love of Christ - Who is Love Himself.
As a quick announcement: I'm planning to take the next few days off from blogging, as I'm guessing most of the rest of the blogosphere will being doing as well. However, those "few days" may stretch on a bit longer depending upon how the packing goes next week. We'll be skipping Frugal Fridays for at least the next two weeks, maybe longer. I'll be back when I'm able to... Maybe sooner, maybe later.

Have a safe, happy & holy Christmas.I pray your moving house will go smoothly, with many helping hands. We moved ourselves just a month ago & I understand how difficult it can be with a little one-especially when you're not feeling well.Congratulations on Jesse's new job.
God Bless You all,
Claire
Crystal,
As it comes to the end of the year, I would like to thank you so much for all the work you have done through your blog to be a blessing and encouragement to others. I have thoroughly enjoyed reading your blog nearly every day since I came across your site in the summer. It really has been a blessing to me and has often given me that encouragement I needed as I read it during nap time! May the Lord bless you and your family.
Karen
Have a good time with your family. It is such a blessing, the special times God gives us to fellowship with friends and family,
Take Care,
Trixie
I got that in my e-mail as well! It's great. I printed it out and am going to tape it to my prayer cabinet which is actually all the kitchen cabinets. They are this ugly orange color and what better way to make them look nice then to decorate it with pix of people to pray for and encouraging articles?
I hope you and your family have a blessed Christmas dear!!!!
Love from Germany!
