Kathrynne's cake, compliments of my friend Melanie. (Excuse the blurry lens - Kathrynne had been playing with the camera and I forgot to clean it before taking pictures!) Melanie used the
Buttercream Transfer instructions here to make this cake. She tells me it is "really simple."

While not quite as impressive as Melanie's cake, here is the cake Kathrynne and I made and decorated. It was my first ever from-scratch two layer cake so I felt like it was quite an accomplishment. I also had to take a picture to show my efforts before the Wilton cake decorating class. I'm hoping by the end of February that my decorating skills will be at least somewhat improved. I'll keep you posted!

Kathrynne got a just-her-size broom (she'd been trying to sweep the floor with the big broom and it wasn't working too well!) and this homemade apron from my sister. We had fun dressing her up to look like a real
hard-working prairie muffin.

Awww! She is such a blessing!
SO SO CUTE!
I hope that the baby I am carrying is a daughter...I'll have to take more lessons in being a lady, but I hope I hope I pray! :)
THAT IS THE SWEETEST PICTURE!!!!
That's a real nice looking cake. So are you taking the Wilton Cake Decorating Classes? They're terrific but then I'm saying as an instructor of them. I started teaching last fall. A new course is starting in May that I'm really excited about teaching. Let me know how your classes go. If you're having problems or questions feel free to ask me.

Precious. My little girl just turned two as well. I love the broom idea- Sophie tries to help me sweep but the big broom frustrates both of us! She usually ends up helping with the dustpan instead.
Happy Birthday Kathrynne.
She is gorgeous! You are obviously teaching the way she is to go!
Oh my GOODNESS! She is BEYOND adorable in that apron!!! I can't wait till my Katherine is big enough to wear an apron like that and help mommy.
