Frugal shopping at The Gap
Yes, you read that title right. Did you know that you can find good deals at almost any store - including The Gap? Check out Maryanne's post for lots of great tips. I'm definitely taking note as I really like a lot of their clothes, especially clothes from BabyGap, but can't bring myself to pay anywhere near the prices they are normally asking.
Most of my clothes from The Gap have actually come from the thrift store or garage sales - like-new, my size, my color, Gap brand, something I need, and $0.99? You bet I don't turn it down, provided I have the money in hand of course. And I've learned never to go shopping unless I have money to spend and need something. Otherwise, you are wasting your time, spending money you don't have, and cluttering up your home with things you don't need.

I love Gap Long and Lean jeans, but I've never found them cheap enough in the store. I may have to go try again! My five dollar pair is looking a little ratty...
I love going to the Gap outlet at the end of the season. You can get some really great deals. Usually, I can spend less there than I would at a thrift store. Can't beat that!
I bought the best coat ever for my youngest daugter at the Gap on sale. It was a denim coat, with a snap-out fleece vest. I bought the coat about a size too large. I live in the South, so we don't have a ton of cold weather. I used the lining in the coat on really cold days, took it out on medium ones, then just used the vest when it was a little cold. She wore that coat for over 2 winters. I then passed it to my neighbor's daughter who has worn it for 2 more years and it still looks new. It is also completely washable and comes out of the dryer looking brand new. I think I paid about $15 for the coat.
Try Wednesdays. Another helpful hint: shop the perimeter of the store...often where the deals are hiding:)

Gap has great sales when you can catch them. Their baby clothes are very well made in my opinion, and last through multiple children. That alone is worth the (sale) price. :)
