It's all downhill from here...

20 weeks.

Half-way done.

The first 20 weeks have sped by, so I'm hoping that the next 20 weeks will as well, though I'm afraid I'm already getting quite anxious to meet this precious life inside of me. However, I'm trying to stay busy and enjoy the last few months of being mama to just one outside the womb. I know things will change a lot as soon as this newest one makes his or her appearance!

I've hit the "hungry all the time stage" and "everything you eat stays on you" stage - those stages always seem to come at the exact same time for me. I feel as if I'm already running out of space. Not a good problem to have, especially when you have 20 more weeks left. This is about the only time in my life when I envy those who are taller than me. It's all for a good cause, though, and it is every bit worth it. :)

By the way, how many of the rest of you are pregnant and when are you due? From the comments here and there, it seems like there are quite a few of you!

Crystal - I'm right behind you at 9 1/2 weeks. It does seem to fly by (except for those last few weeks, of course!), especially when you have a little one (or little ones) to keep you busy:)

I'm right around where you are... I'm due somewhere around June 20. I've enjoyed hearing about your pregnancy! It's nice to hear someone else is going through the same things! I think I hit the always hungry and "hello weight gain" stage about 2 weeks ago... I hope your next 20 weeks flies by! :)

I am fairly close behind you also. I am 17 weeks with my first and I agree time does fly especially once you get over the "morning sickness":) I can't believe I am almost half way there!

Hi crystal :)
I'm at 12w 3d! It's my first, so I've been reading up on what all you parents of one child have been up to!

Hi Crystal! I am 19 weeks today! I am feeling very eager to meet my little baby, as well.I am so hungry all the time, too. (But I guess that is typical for me) My official due date is July 11,2007. I think it is neat that I am a couple of weeks behind you again, because my son was born around two weeks after Kathrynne. Prayers for a continued healthy pregnancy for you!

My daughter is expecting in August, her first, my first grandchild. I have noticed a lot of pregnant ladies on the blogs and lots of new babies!

You people are mad! I am 31 weeks and have just realized that despite what feel like attempts to dig his way out through my belly button, my son will be in utero forever. I am very saddened by the realization that I will be pregnant forever, and will never bend at the waist again. Just kidding. Sort of...

Crystal, I felt like I didn't have any more room to grow at around 20 weeks. But I did--I'm growing OUT! lol

I am at 21 weeks with my first and time is flying! With seeing the baby via ultrasound yesterday and being over halfway thru the pregnancy, the reality on having a baby around is seeming closer and closer.

I'm a frequent lurker here, and I guess I'm barely ahead of you at 21 weeks 1 day! I'm short as well, so the whole no room thing rings true with me as well. Here's to good pregnancies!

I am 32 weeks along with my first and so I have about 8 more weeks to marvel that my normally petite 5'2" frame can actually get BIGGER! I know what you mean about wanting to be taller - just a little more room to grow would be nice! The "eat everything in sight" stage is SO much better than the "everything sounds revolting" stage! Enjoy your appetite again and feed that baby! :) Good Providence on the rest of your pregnancy!

Hi Crystal! I'm 23 weeks and will have a csection mid May. This is #4 for me and it's the I'm-going-to-eat-whatever-I-want time of the pregnancy that I love! (Really, though, I eat pretty healthily, but do indulge in regular ice cream comsumption!)

Hi all!

I'm at 12 weeks, and we get to hear Peanut's heartbeat on Friday! This baby has been a miracle for us (I supposedly miscarried him or her back in December....they think I was carrying twins! eek!), so we are eagerly anticipating his or her arrival.

That, and I'm at the "kind of pudgy, nothing really fits, but maternity clothing is too big, and I have a headache ALL OF THE TIME" stage... Looking forward to that 'hungry all the time'....I love to eat!

I am expecting baby #7 (10th pregnancy) at Eastertime.
I'm gestational diabetic, so I'm having a hard time with the food too! I always want to eat when (and what) I shouldn't, and never seem to have an appetite to eat when I should!

I'm expecting my 3rd daughter in late April or early May ... due date is up in the air depending on her size (my 2nd was over 11 lbs. without any kind of gestational diabetes or health problems!) We just have big babies! (So, I'm almost 29 weeks. :)

I am 17 weeks today and still fairly pukey feeling. This is #5 for us. I can't wait til I feel like eating so I can stop "forcing" my food down. Ugh. I also wanted you to know that we interviewed a midwife the other day. woo-hoo! I LOVED her! It would be my first birth ever with a midwife at a birthing center! We are praying the insurance situation will work out for us!

I was pregnant with you until 5 weeks ago. Now I have a sweet baby girl.
I completely am with you on the "eat everything" phase. I've had the baby already and am still in that phase :)

Well, hey, I think I win!* I'm a whole whopping 35 weeks! Completely filled up with big, bouncing, baby boy! And yet, I'm going to have to somehow find more room as he continues to grow for 5 more weeks. (For those who reach for the Tylenol when asked to do math in your head - that's a due date of March 21).

*(This was a contest for who's the biggest, right? :-P)

Congrats, Crystal! The 20 week mark is so exciting!!! It feels like you're really, truly getting close to meeting that baby, hey?

I'm at 25 weeks (with #2) and like you, I can't believe how fast it's going! But on the other hand, it still feels like a long wait to hold my little sweetheart! I'm really starting to feel a lot bigger these days, although I'm cherishing these last few weeks before I hit the truly uncomfortable stage. :) I wish I could eat everything in sight, but I'm also having blood sugar issues (not diabetes, just feeling really awful when I eat sugar and my blood sugar balance gets off so easily) and now in the last week I've got horrible indigestion again. Ick. But regardless, it's such a joy and I can't believe only 3 1/2 mths til I meet my little one! I have so much to do! I better get off the computer! LOL!

Wow, I thought I was the only one who was constantly ravenous! I'll be 20 weeks tomorrow-- we found out we were expecting our first right after you posted your "announcement"! Our Little Guy is due July 5th. It's great to know there are others out there experiencing the same stages at the same time. Being our first, we are definitely new to all this (at least firsthand-- I was the oldest of seven.) Keep up the good work, Crystal!

Kathryn S., Michigan

P.S. I've been an avid reader ever since you started "Biblical Womanhood"-- before I got married-- and have really been encouraged by your posts as I've become a wife, homemaker, and now mother!

Hi Crystal!

I am 16 weeks with my sixth child and we are thrilled! I'm due August 1st but if history repeats itself, I should be having this baby somewhere around the end of July.

Enjoy 20 weeks! It's my favorite time of pregnancy!!

Hi Crystal - I'm delurking to answer your question - I'm 33 weeks pregnant, due on April 3. I remember feeling huge around half-way, but wow... I feel HUGELY huge now. This is my second pregnancy, and I am SURE I'm twice as big as last time. :-) Love your blog, and have felt sympathy about how pregnancy treats you. God bless the next 20 weeks!

I'm 12 weeks 3 days along, still trying to come out of the nausea/vomiting stage. I can't wait to be eating everything in sight! I've lost 6 lbs from my fairly slender frame thus far. This is baby #3, I was that sick with the others also. Pregnancy is my least favorite part of having a child! But I should be feeling good in a few weeks. Cheers for babies!

Glad you are doing well and thoroughly enjoyed the memorial for your Great Grandparents.

Tuesday I will be 20 weeks with #2. We had our ultrasound last Tuesday and we were able to find out the little one is a much-desired boy. Woohoo! Congrats to all those who are expecting and those who've had recent arrivals as well.

Hi again -
A correction to my post last week...after my doctor's appointment and ensuing ultrasound, I'm more like 14-15 weeks, possibly more. I have another ultrasound on Wednesday to determine dates and make them solid. I'm just still in shock over being farther along than I thought! ;)
