Life is never dull
It was a good day full of surprises and blessings...
Family breakfast at IHOP and meeting a Christian couple who sat at the table next to us (it's amazing how much a little child in your party can open doors for conversation!).
A trip to Hobby Lobby to buy some more cake decorating supplies (using the 40% off coupon online this week, of course!) and finding a beautiful old-fashioned $79 clock for $14 which is perfect for our fireplace mantle.
A quick run into BigLots to see if they had any new decorating things and coming out with almost everything to complete our living room and kitchen decorating for very inexpensively.
Grocery shopping and finding all sorts of great and unexpected deals - like bananas for $0.19/lb (looks like I'll be making plenty of banana chocolate chip muffins this week!).
Coming home to discover our neighbors were moving today and could use all of our leftover boxes - Whew! Nice to get those out of our garage and sent off to a good home!
Cucumber sandwiches with spinach spread which I brought to the tea party.
I'm having fun coming up with creative uses for all the cheap cream cheese I bought last week and couldn't resist making one of our favorite cheesecakes. The only problem has been saving it for Sunday! Of course I came up with the excuse of needing to take out one piece so that you could see the inside of the cheesecake! Recipe is here. You're welcome. (By the way, I made the sour cream topping on this cheesecake, but usually don't and think it is better without. I also substituted crushed chocolate chip cookies for the wafers in the crust.)

A lovely afternoon tea party and special time of fellowship with other Godly women who are older and much more experienced than me and whom I can learn so much from.
Cucumber sandwiches with spinach spread which I brought to the tea party. Two handmade notes from Kathrynne which she made all on her own and came and presented to me (she's just started doing this!).
And now I'm off to finish cleaning up my kitchen and get things in order for church tomorrow and then spend some more quiet family time, but not before showing you a picture of the Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Cheesecake I made for our church fellowship lunch tomorrow...

Crystal, I'm not pregnant and I don't think I have the energy to accomplish in a day what you do! I do have a number of children but I don't think they zap energy like a pregnancy does!!
wow, never heard of that! i just might try it. :)
Wow! Your cheesecake looks better than Eli's, as my mom would say. :)
Yum, where did you get the recipe for the spinach cucumber spread?
Looks delicious. I think I am craving that now!
