Just pulled a fresh loaf of
Tammy's Wheat Bread out of the oven. Perfect with butter and honey and some just-brewed iced tea (even if that iced tea happens to be pregnancy tea!). This is the second time in a week I've made her bread recipe - both times "cheating" by making the dough in the bread machine. It is delicious and the best recipe I've found for making the dough in the bread machine and then baking the loaf in the oven.
Now I want to make her
homemade bagels. Hopefully soon! And ever since I saw her
Whole-Wheat Strawberry Shortcake, I have been craving that stuff so badly. I think Jesse's going to have to stop and get some strawberries and whipping cream on his way home from work tonight.

Oooh, I was surprised to see this post, but it made me smile. :) Glad you liked the bread, and you know you can count on my blog to cause pregnancy cravings!!! ;)
Hi Crystal,
I made the bagels shortly after Tammy posted the recipe. You will LOVE them!!! And they are so easy to make!!!

Crystal,
Please let us know how the bagels turn out. I have been having a pregnancy craving for them ever since Tammy posted about them. Yesterday, I had a diasterous attempt at making them. Obviously, I did something very, very wrong because lots of people seem to be having great success with them. I am anxious to try again soon and look forward to hearing about your experience.

I made both the bagels and shortcake today, thanks to the power of suggestable pregnancy cravings. ;) Delicious! Though I think I should have let the bagels rest more than 10 minutes after shaping the hole, they ended up a bit "thin" around.
Pretty tea pot!
