Baby poll!

You can tell I'm taking it easy (trying very hard to follow my midwife and husband's orders!) when I took the time this afternoon to set up a baby poll for my blog. I found this on another blog and couldn't resist.

For those of you who enjoy these types of things, have fun with it! And when this baby does make his or her grand appearance, we'll have to come up with some sort of award for the winner with the most correct guesses!

As a point of reference, if it means anything, Kathrynne was 2 weeks overdue and weighed 7 lb. 14 oz. I think she was 20 1/2 inches long, but I could be slightly off there - I don't remember numbers like my mom does, so I always rely on her to keep track of those things for me. :)

Crystal, I'd have to ask, for sort of reference, when are you due so I can make a guess!!! I'm pretty sure of the month ~ July ~ but beyond that don't know!! Thanks, Ruth Ann

Due date according to sonogram: July 6. (It's at the top of the poll page, too.) I'm not really widely talking about it or counting down to it, though, because I went late last time so I'm expecting to go at least one week probably more like two weeks late.

Okay, I want to clarify that I hit girl, but it says boy...I really think it will be a girl.

It took me forever because I kept hitting the back button to consider all the parameters given :)

Good luck.

That was fun! I messed up the date though ... I meant to make it July 20, not December lol

For some reason I think you'll have a girl. :-) I've been right about the genders of my children thus far!
Just wanted to mention, as far as being "overdue", I have been every time but didn't have big babies by any means, so even the date the ultrasound comes up with could be off. I know what you mean about not really telling people the due date unless they press for details. I always just said the month I was due. If I was due at the very end of a month, I would just say I was expecting the baby the beginning of the following month since I pretty much new I'd be overdue anyway. Nothing is quite as annoying as all the phone calls, emails, etc. that I got in the final two weeks of my last pregnancy. I was so tired of hearing, "You haven't had the baby YET?".

I think you'll have a boy, and that he'll be a small baby. Fun poll! :)

What I want to know is how Kathryn was that much "post dates" and that small!

I need to find out for next time around. Big babies aren't a problem for me, but the caregivers tend to start harassing me about it at 40 weeks. ;)

CappuccinoLife - I think I may have had her dates wrong. Not sure on that but Jesse thinks that's what it was. I measured around 4 weeks behind the whole time and was rather small until the last six weeks when I all of a sudden just popped out. This time around, I'm measuring on track and have definitely popped out earlier. I don't know if that means maybe I'll go closer to my due date - I doubt it - or if it means I'll have a bigger baby, or if it's just because I am on my second pregnancy! We'll see. :)

Thanks to everyone who has taken the poll so far, this is fun!!

I was induced with my first pregnancy because I was ten days overdue but ended up with a barely seven pound baby! I did measure right on track, though, so maybe the dates were right and he just needed to "cook" a bit longer. You just never know. It seems like many people go late anyway. Unless the baby (or you) are in distress, I always think it's best to late things take their natural course. In retrospect, I really wish I hadn't let the doctor talk me into an induction.

I have always gone over and have always "popped out" right away, except with my first (I've given birth to six children). I would say just because something is "different" doesn't mean a thing. Babies come when they come and they be who they be! :) Praise God He is blessing your family again!! You're a real encouragement to us all, Crystal!!
