Birth Day Diary: Entry Three

I've been on pit. for an hour and a half now. I'm definitely having some contractions but nothing that I can't talk through. I'm dilated to 2 cm as of about an hour ago and happy for any progress - especially the kind that happens without much pain or effort.

All the girls are here right now (Mom, Brigette, Gretchen, Olivia, Kathrynne, and Cadence) and it's like a big happy family reunion. They are definitely helping keep me distracted and helping to pass the time more quickly.

Oh...I get the be the first comment on this one! :) (I'm guessing so, anyway...maybe not if someone has already sent one!)

My sisters and I have been specially praying for you and when were were at Church (Mass) this morning, you and baby were one of my biggest intentions.

Blessings!

I am very glad to hear that your labor is beginning to progress. Thank you very much for taking the time to update your blog during all this, Crystal. Prayers are continuing to be said for you!

I have been dropping by to read your updates and just wanted to wish you well. You certainly have a lot of support from friends, family and your faith. (The three Fs!)

That's great to be another centimeter closer in an hour of pitocin. It took me awhile to reach 5, and then I sort of stayed there for a couple hours. Then I went from 5 to 10 in less than an hour, so things do tend to speed up at the end. Hang in there!

Oh Crystal! How exciting! I'm praying so hard for you today. I have a note on my monitor here at work - "Crystal" to remind me to pray every spare second. I was almost in tears reading your update about your platelet count. What a testimony to the greatness of the Lord! His Love and Grace leaves me speechless sometimes.

Go Crystal! Push that baby out!

I can't imagine the waiting, luckily you have people to help make time go by faster as you mentioned...praying you will be strong with HIS strenght and that baby will be along shortly and healthily..

I'm envious that you are getting to have such a great support team. I wish I would have had my son at the hospital for the first couple hours. It sure would have made the time pass faster. :-) I'll be checking back and forth throughout today to read any updates and eventually the news of her arrival (or him--I keep thinking girl!). Just think--tomorrow at this time you should have your baby in your arms. :-)

What a special day to have a baby! It sounds like you are surrounded by family and I was ecstatic to read of your improved platelet numbers, which are obviously a result of fervant prayer and God's perfect timing. There is a reason to all chaos, so just rest in Him and focus on BABY!
