Let's just say she's obviously never given birth before...

Kathrynne has been going around the house today saying, "My momma is going to go to the hospital and pick out the baby."

Yeah, if only it were that easy!

My son says "A long car ride of 12 Veggie Tale videos means we're getting another brother"

A lady in our Bible study was induced at 8a and by 2p she was happily unpregnant with a delightful baby girl. Both Baby and Momma were RAVENOUS by 6 hours but they were both healthy. I guess that means when Crystal shouts "I need a hot fudge sundae... STAT"... she'll mean it :-)

My mother is now 65. Of her and her two sisters, only one was born in the hospital. My grandparents found my Aunt Bettye under a cabbage leaf, and Mom was left in the mailbox. Or so that's what they told the girls. :-D

Thanks for the updates.

My son was 27 months old when his first little sister was born. He said that I'd gone to the hospital and she'd "popped" out. Wish it had been that simple. :^)

Crystal,
Unfortunately, giving birth ain't like adopting a Cabbage Patch Kid! LOL Kathrynne is adorable. You are in my heart and prayers! -Shannon

My 2-and-a-half year old daughter says (of my growing belly), "I have a baby bruhder in my tummy...I'm very tie-wud." as she rubs her stomach and grins. Heehee!
Unfortunately, she tries to rub OTHER people's growing tummies and ask about their babies. As you can imagine...they aren't pregnant! Ah, the joys and misadventures of being two!!!

My ds thinks all babies come by c-section (that's how both of mine were born since ds had cord issues and dd was stuck in my pelvis) and I am not going to correct him right now (he'll be 6yrs next month and I really do not want to explain it right now!)

How cute! Our 2 girls are adopted from China, so for the longest time whenever they saw a plane overhead, they'd say "See, another baby is coming from China."

That is precious, Crystal. Still praying for you, dear sister in Christ. I know the Lord is praised through your faithfulness to Him by resting in His providence and will. I am sure that I am not the only one encouraged by your complete rest in Him! God bless you, Crystal!
In His Grace,
Mama Russell

Pick a winner, mom! :)

I have an adorable letter sent to me 15 years ago by my niece (who is now herself a new mommy!). She was writing me in preparation for me having my own first child. She wanted to know, "Did you get your baby out yet? And does it got any teeth?" Kids are too cute!

How cute! When my son was only about three weeks old, we all went to a local bookstore to look around. My dad (Grandpa) was holding him while the baby was asleep. A little girl came up to him with her Mommy and said, "Look Mommy, his eyes aren't even open yet!" (I guess she had raised a few baby animals!) Valerie

My 4yo and 2yo both talk about the new baby on the way and how the color clothing s/he arrives in determines the gender. This, of course, is after talking about how "Daddy and Mama have to go to the hospital to get him/her." I don't think they've made the connection that the baby in my belly is the one we'll be kissing in a few months!! :)

(My 1yo just has no clue that anything new is on the horizon. Sometimes I wish I could be so oblivious!!!!)

So cute! My son was barely two when I had the last baby couldn't communicate that much as to what he was really thinking. He never seemed to notice my growing tummy, though.
I was induced last time around. They started the pitocin drip (on low to begin with) at 7am and by 2pm baby was born. Yes, an intense seven hour labor, but not bad when you consider that was from start to finish. Most of the time when you go into labor on your own, you have at least a few hours pacing around at home during the early stage before going to the hospital. It was nice with an induction because I really felt like the pains were more productive from the beginning and I was progressing.
Will they be having you come in the night before for that proglastin gel stuff that they often put in to help soften the cervix? They did that with me, and although I hated being away from home for that extra night, but by morning I was already dilated to a 4 and hadn't felt a contraction yet. It really helped me, and perhaps that would also help you, since you'll be early and perhaps your body won't have started the "thining" process yet.
Best of wishes!
