Simple things
Just a few random pictures of simple things which have brought a smile to my face recently...
Kathrynne has taken a great fascination to LEGOs of late and it has been fun to see her creativity blossoming. Here is her LEGO creation from today - nine airplanes. Not sure what the other items are, houses perhaps? I was impressed that she built the airplanes all on her own and that each one was the same design. Sure, it was only five LEGOs each, but still thought it was pretty good for a two-year-old.
One of the most beautiful centerpieces ever, I think. A rose from our rose bush. So far, we've had five of these beauties blossom and bring fragrance to our home.
The quilt that my mom embroidered and put together in only a matter of six weeks or so for our precious wee babe. Mom made a similar quilt for Kathrynne (with the help of my sisters) and it such a treasured keepsake. I'm hoping she keeps up the tradition for all our children!

I love these things that you posted. Your wee Katy is doing very well with the Duplos, and your rose is my favorite color. The quilt is just wonderful. Thanks for sharing.
Wow, that IS really good for a two year old! I am impressed! It looks like she is as busy and creative as her Mommy:)
I absolutely love this quilt. Your mother is so crafty!
I hope you are feeling alright, as much as possible for your condition!
What a lovely quilt! My mother has crocheted blankets for two of my three children (she is working on one for my youngest) and I can tell you what a blessing it is in their lives to know that "Moogie" (their name for my mom) made that blanket especially for them. They love to snuggle under them and think of the love their grandmother put into their blankets.
Kathrynne is definitely showing her creative side; I thought those airplanes were just precious.
Wish I had a rose bush or something like that to decorate my table. That is a gorgeous flower!
The quilt is ADORABLE!!!
Have fun ejoying the quilt. The rose is gorgeous.
Beautiful pictures. The rose is stunning! Your mom's gift is not only lovely in and of itself, but all the more precious for the time, care and love that you know is sewn into every stitch.
Now the Legos really made me giggle. It won't be long before you start the mommy dance. It begins by stepping on a Lego, moves into wild hopping about on one foot while attempting to grasp the throbbing foot in one hand, and is punctuated by at least one *ouch*! ;o) There's just something about Legos; no matter how hard you try to pick them all up, there's always that rebel piece! All that said, Kathrynne did a *great* job on her creations! :o)
Cute airplanes, beautiful rose and adorable quilt.
My mom has also made a quilt for each of our children. She has also embroidered their names and the last 3 their birthdate as well. Such a treasure keepsake!
Keeping you in my prayers.
The quilt is beautiful! I love the rose too.
Simple things are the most enjoyable, aren't they?
Blessings,
Theresa
WOW! The first thing I noticed in that picture was the uniformity of the "airplanes." That's impressive engineering.
