You never know what a day may bring forth...
Well, little did I know when this week started that I'd be writing this post from my laptop in a hospital room. Nor that I'd be the one in the hospital bed with the IV in.
Yes, you read that right - I'm currently in the hospital. No, I didn't have the baby yet. Baby is healthy as can be, it's the mama who is not doing so great.
It started with a routine appointment with my midwife this afternoon. Some fairly alarming things showed up in the urine dipstick test. She drew blood and hurried it over to the lab and that showed more signs pointing to an infection of some sort. I was also severely dehydrated, amniotic fluid was very low, and I was very anemic, among a number of other things. She and the doctor she works with felt it would be best to just go ahead and admit me to the hospital for further testing, monitoring, and to also be able to rehydrate me.
So, in between the pricking and poking, I'm blogging from a very un-comfy hospital bed. None of the tests have been conclusive in anyway so far, though they have ruled out a kidney infection - which was something they thought it might be. All I know at this point is that it looks like I'll for sure be in here until tomorrow night and perhaps longer depending upon a lot of things.
I haven't been in the hospital since I was six or seven, so, needless to say, this is a very strange experience for me. The Lord worked it out so my younger sisters could fly up tonight in order to hold down the fort at home and take care of Kathrynne. And gratefully, Jesse doesn't have a huge workload at the office this week and some others have offered to step in and help him with things so he can focus on me.
You never know what a day may bring forth, do you? But I'm grateful that I can leave things in the hands of Him Who knows the end from the beginning and Who doeth all things well.

Wow, I had no idea you were in the hospital! I will be praying for you and the family. It sounds like your midwife made the right decision.
And yes, those hospital beds can be quite uncomfy. I get numerous complaints from patients about them. Either that or the food. :)
Take care. You all will be in my prayers to our heavenly Father who provides abundantly.
Crystal, I want you to know that I'm praying for you, your precious growing baby, Jesse, and Kathrynne. May you feel our Father's loving arms and perfect peace during this time.
Praying for you and your family.
"My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing." James 1:2-4
Hi again! Hope you got some decent sleep. I thought of also adding a similar verse this last night, but didn't. Yet, I woke up to find this in the daily verse I read. I figured why not God's? Word is so comforting & reassuring! Continuing to pray for you & yours...
Sarah :)
