Nobody told me trying to get two little girls to smile at the same time could be this difficult

Kaitlynn started smiling this week and we were trying to get a picture of the two girls both smiling at the same time. Needless to say, after many tries, we found it was next to impossible. The last picture was our best - they were both smiling, now we just need one where they both have their eyes open!

Oh and nevermind the leftover dinner on Kathrynne's mouth. I know I always said I wasn't going to be one of those parents with a child running around with food on their face. But I guess now I'm "one of those parents"! Never say never!

They are so adorable! Wait until you are trying to get 4 to smile at the same time - it is hard even when they're older.

homemakerang: Yes, she totally has Jesse's eyes and looks quite a bit different from Kathrynne right now because kathrynne totally has my eyes. Isn't it interesting and fun to see the differences in your children?

Sweet girls! I understand about getting everyone to smile, we have that when trying to get our 4 to all smile and look at us at the same time. :)

I look forward to holding our newborn in hopefully about 8 weeks. :)

It gets harder when ALL are mobile and there are more of them! Not to be discouraging or anything. = ) I've learned to take LOTS of pics of the same pose. Increases the odds of one being what I want.

Wait till you have a seven year old boy and a grandma who lives across the country who is visiting and wants a nice picture of her grandson. Just try to get the picture without him pulling a face or sticking out a tongue or doing bunny ears. There are good times ahead for you. LOL!

They are so adorable :). I find it nearly impossible to get the perfect picture when I'm going for more than one at a time also ;). Having a digital camera has only made it worse 8)! As soon as the flash goes off three little people are assaulting me saying, "I want to see! I want to see!" :). Now that the baby is starting to talk and walk he will probably be right there with them soon. I am blessed though with a hubby who used to be in children's photography. It used to be so fun to go watch him work :). He could get as many as six children all smiling and looking at the same time!!! He does all of our "official" pictures now.

We have so many relatives who are always asking for a picture of our family and not just individual snapshots, but with a 4yo, almost-3yo, and 1.5yo, it's pretty tough to keep everybody sitting still and looking in the right direction. I've actually given up on everybody smiling!!!!! We're adding #4 in late Sept/early Oct, so the fun is only increasing. :) Ah well! Thank goodness for digital cameras and being able to take LOTS of shots!

LOL -- it only goes down him from there. Let's see -- 5 is hopeless, I think.

Ü So -- go for individual ones. Or else say, "Time for the funny face photo" and just keep snapping... maybe one of them all laughing will work.

CUTE girls -- thanks for sharing.

LOL! I just had a photo shoot on Monday with three little siblings age 3 and under -- was that ever tricky! But very fun, nonetheless.
