My younger sister, Gretchen, has been staying with us for the past week. She's been such a huge help, we've gotten lots of projects done around the house, and we've also enjoyed getting to spend lots of time talking and playing with the girls together.

Since today was her last day here, we worked hard this morning to get all of the things crossed off the to-do list and then we went out to lunch at Panera Bread. Afterwards, we came home and put the little girls down and then Gretchen and I had some fun together talking (we can never get enough of that in!), eating some yummy treats we brought home from Panera, cooking, and watching a historical documentary we had picked up earlier in the week from the library.

We were so sad to see Auntie Gretchen go tonight, but thankful for the opportunity to have her stay with us for a little while. Kathrynne asked as soon as we got home from dropping her off at the airport, "Where's Auntie Gretchen?" When I told her she went back to her home, Kathrynne looked at me and said, "I'm sad about that."

I love the photo with Gretchen and Kathrynne drinking through their straws! The look on Kathrynne's face is hilarious! I'm glad your sister was able to visit and help out for a while. :-)
It is a blessing to have Auntie's like Auntie Gretchen.
My husband and I are both the youngest in our families which meant that our siblings already had their own families before we started ours.
My kids missed out on this kind of relationship.
how sweet! how fun! I wish i had a sister...
The pics are precious! What a blessing to have such a great sister, and for Kathrynne to have such a wonderful auntie. Aunties are special people in a girl's life; I'm still close to mine.
How nice of your sister to come and help with everything that needs to be done!!
Awe!!!
I also loved the pic with the straws. Truly precious. I am so glad your sister was able to come over and help for a while and you and the girls were able to spend that quality time with her.
