Deals and more deals

Speaking of grocery budgets, I've been meaning to tell you that Kroger has some really incredible deals right now. Carrie has the scoop here and I left a comment on her post with some more details.

These deals end tomorrow night for the Kroger(Dillons) stores in Kansas. It might be different for other states. Feel free to email me if you want to read a more thorough write-up on the deals (biblicalwomanhood @ sbcglobal.net - remove spaces). I'd post it here, but it's L-O-N-G.

Also, SuperTarget has tuna for $0.09 right now, at least so I've heard (haven't had a chance to try it myself!). More details here.

What other deals are going on around the country this week? Feel free to share and discuss any and all you've found in the comments section.

HI,
I have a quick question.

I somehow missed the end date of
HEBS $10 H-E-B gift card by collect four (4) H-E-B Dairy Dollar points program. I have 3 points that I collected and am needing the last one. Did anyone get extra points?
Please let me know at nicholejordanblog@yahoo.com if you do I would love it! Thanks!

Sadly, we just don't see these kinds of deals in the far North (aka Canada). Does anyone know why we pay so much more for groceries on a consisten basis in Canada? The cheapest I've ever seen tuna is for 48 cents at Superstore and they put a limit of 2 or a limit of 6 on it...frustrating. Susan in Manitoba

Weis (in Pa) has deals pretty much every week where items are 10 for 10.00 (thats how its advertised but you don't actually have to get 10 to get that price) They also double coupons up to $.50. This week I got Pop-secret microwave popcorn for .20, a bag of chex mix free, and Totino's pizza rolls for .20 In summary, I paid $2.80 for $12.00 worth of food. You need the store club card to get the advertised specials. We don't have Krogers around here but Weis seems be a lot like it.

Yes, the tuna at Target works just fine - I got 4 cans last week.

I just wish our household ate more tuna, since it's so cheap! But my husband doesn't like hot tuna, and my son doesn't like cold tuna, LOLOL. And neither one of them want tuna very often in any form.

Maybe I need some new recipes....

And thanks for the point to the Kroger post - I'm about to move to a town with a Kroger, so I love learning about what kind of deals I might be able to wrangle there.

Hi Crystal,

I was just wondering if you have to buy 10 of the same item in order to receive the 10 for $10.00 savings that Kroger's is having. Could you buy 10 different items to take part in the savings? I apologize if you've already given this answer and I've overlooked it.

Thanks so much,

Julie

No, Julie, great question! They ring up at $1 each when it is 10 for $10.

Our Target in Alabama has school supplies drastically reduced. I got a 10 pack of 1 subject notebooks for 25 cents, packages of 24 pencils for 25 cents, rulers for 18 cents, index cards for 23 cents, etc.
