In our weakness, God's strength can shine through

My husband found these incredible videos earlier today of Nick Vujicic, a young man born without limbs. Instead of allowing his disabilities to cripple him, his life is a powerful testimony of God's strength being made perfect in our weaknesses.

I encourage you to take 15 minutes and watch the following two videos. I promise it will be worth your time.

(Please note: Video #1 contains some contemporary music.)

You can read more about Nick's life and ministry here.

Nick's testimony is amazing and humbling- makes you feel ashamed to complain about anything!

Coming from Queensland Australia we are quite familiar with Nick and his story. It's so amazing that he even travels overseas.Last year he ministered in South East Asia, just before my husband arrived to work with a children's ministry there.

What an encouragement!!!!!

It is such an honor to be able to see God at work and to be able to see the weak, the "damaged" the unwanted being used to glorify our God the MOST!!!!! Can you imagine being this young man?????? If it were me....I would probably be hopeless and feel useless and unlovable....but to see him happily brush his teeth and comb his hair and to swim????? WOW. God is beyond every wonderful word I can think of right now.

Thanks Jesse & Crystal for this great post. What an inspiration to us all.

By the world's standard, this man doesn't measure up. From God's perspective, all believers were not just imperfect physically...they were dead spiritually and dying physically and God made them alive in Christ. God's testimony of grace at work in His workmanship is awesome.

WOW! That was amazing and very humbling! What an amazing man!! I would love to meet him and talk to him.

His testimony reminds of a poem my dad always recites to us.

Lord Forgive Me When I Whine

Today upon a bus, I saw a lovely maid with golden hair; I envied her-she seemed so gay, and how, I wished I were so fair; When suddenly she rose to leave, I saw her hobble down the aisle; she had one foot and wore a crutch, but as she passed, a smile.

Oh God, forgive me when I whine, I have two feet-the world is mine.

And when I stopped to buy some sweets, the lad who served me had such charm; he seemed to radiate good cheer, his manner was so kind and warm; I said, "It's nice to deal with you, such courtesy I seldom find"; he turned and said, "Oh, thank you sir." And then I saw that he was blind.

Oh, God, forgive me when I whine, I have two eyes, the world is mine.

Then, when walking down the street, I saw a child with eyes of blue; he stood and watched the others play, it seemed he knew not what to do; I stopped a moment, then I said, "Why don't you join the others, dear?" He looked ahead without a word, and then I knew he could not hear.

Oh God, forgive me when I whine, I have two ears, the world is mine.

With feet to take me where I'd go; with eyes to see the sunsets glow, with ears to hear what I would know. I am blessed indeed. The world is mine;

oh, God, forgive me when I whine.
