Turn your eyes upon Jesus
"The wicked, through the pride of his countenance, will not seek after God:God is not in all his thoughts."
Psalm 10:4
I recently started reading through Psalms and this verse from chapter 10 has resonated with me ever since I read it a few days ago.
"...God is not in all his thoughts."
I know this verse is expressly talking about the those who do not love the Lord, but it's caused me to examine my own thoughts and heart. What am I consumed with? Me? This life? Things of this earth? Self-serving things? Or thoughts of the Lord? Of Eternity? Of glorifying God?
Turn your eyes upon Jesus,
Look full in His wonderful face,
And the things of earth will grow strangely dim,
In the light of His glory and grace.

I never realized until a couple of years ago....I'm a grandmother....that I get to decide what I think about...I can decide.....thoughts may come to mind but I don't have to "build them a nest and let them stay" I can decide to see the best in people....to offer the same grace that has been granted to me...to offer forgiveness...as Christ did...I can decide....I wish I had know this earlier in my life...When I focus on Christ and all He has done for me....thee is no room for worry...anxiety...Thank God for the right to choose...Pam, South Bend
Great reminder in this post. It was good to see the hymn too. It's one of my favorites. I'm glad you posted a link for the midi and lyrics too. I think I may put it on my blog as well at some point.

Good thoughts, Crystal, thoughts that I needed to be reminded of at this moment. Thank you.
It is so important to ensure that we apply the Word to our lives, not just read it. I very much enjoyed your thoughts, Crystal - and I'll be humming that hymn for the rest of the day!
