Anyone else going to the Film Festival?

I'm doing the happy dance!

Everything fell into place at the last minute for us to attend the Film Festival starting tomorrow.

Will anyone else be there?

I'll be sure to take plenty of pictures for those of you unable to make it. Who knows? Maybe I'll even be able to do some live-blogging.

Hurray for you! Can't wait to meet!
I'm planning to be there Friday and Saturday with all the children.
We normally go on opening night, but then we invariably stay out so late that we lose most of the following day.
This time we're skipping Thursday night in the hopes that we can arrive a little earlier than our typical 2PM on Friday.
We'll see how that goes...

We'll be there! Two of our daughters, Ashley & Callan, are working registration from 12-7 Thursday and two of our boys, Skylar and Ryker, are helping to set up from 12-6 as well. Be sure and say Hi if you see any of us with Seargeant nametags.

If you get to the Riverwalk, do take your sling, because it is NOT stroller friendly.

Hadn't heard of this film festival, but it sounds pretty neat after looking on their site. Please do let us know what it was like.

Have fun,
Cathy

My 13yo is a budding filmmaker. We would love to go sometime. Please give details when you return! (And the appropriateness for teens.)

We haven't yet been able to attend. Every year we've wished we could. My hubby's bro and his family always go and have enjoyed it each year.

When we visited them last year we had the opportunity to hang out at the River Walk. Very cool. If we lived in the San Antonio area the River Walk would definitely be a "date night" regular for us.

I hope you enjoy your time.

Wish we could be there. But some good friends of ours are there and are semi-finalists! You might recognize them from church. Their film is called 'Opportunity' and we can't wait to hear how is does.

This is the first film festival I've missed since it started so I'm soooo sad!! Live blogging would be so AWESOME---I could at least get a glimpse of what's going on.:) My two brothers are there with their film company (Filmweavers). This is the first year our company didn't submit a film. We did "Awakening", "Clocks", and "The Heartwood Dagger" in 2004, 2005, & 2006. Enjoy your time and I'm sorry I missed the year you're going to be there! I know I don't comment much but i visit everyday and appreciate your encouragement so much!

Hi Crystal,

We aren't going to the Film Festival, but if you happen to be close to Longview any time, we'd love to see you and your family. Feel free to drop in for lunch, dinner, or even spend the night. If you don't have our number I know Gretchen or your parents do. Hope to see you!

We used to live in Conroe, Texas, which is about 40 miles north of Houston. I've been to San Antonio 3 times, and I like it-especially the River Walk! You guys should definitely take a boat ride!

I can't wait to see pictures! I have family near San Antonio. Enjoy it for me - maybe we'll make it next year. My husband has some training that will be out near there...hmmm. Pondering. ;-)

Just in case anyone is interested, I found a freebie and some contests that I posted for Frugal Friday: http://momnmore.blogspot.com/2007/10/frugal-friday-kitchen-freebie-contests.html

Hope they are of service.

Y'all travel home safely - hope you're having a WONDERFUL time!
