Review: Teeccino Herbal Coffee
Wanting to kick the caffeine addiction or just looking for a delicious hot drink for a cold day? Try Teeccino!

Erica from SuperMom's Health and Wellness sent me some Teeccino awhile back. Being a coffee aficionado (though I purposely only indulge every few weeks), I was a little leery of anything that was supposed to be a healthy coffee knock-off.
While not quite the same as a Cafe Mocha from Starbucks, Teeccino was surprisingly good. My favorite part about it is that it is made in the coffeepot so you feel like it's coffee, even though it isn't. And, it's good for you, too!
If you're looking for a caffeine-free healthy coffee alternative, you'll definitely want to check Teeccino out. Supermom's Health and Wellness offers a variety of flavors and they even have some sample packets that you can try to decide which flavors are your favorites. Check them out here.
Speaking of cold-weather drinks, I'd love to hear what some of your favorites are!

My Fav. Cold Weather drinks?
It would have to be between hot spiced apple cider or the classic hot chocolate w/marshmallows.
YUM!

My favorite cold weather drink is hot chocolate mmmmmmmmm. My mom makes a powder that yo can mix with hot water. I cheat and have in the summertime too but not as much.
I'm so glad you discovered Teechino! It's been a favorite of mine for several years now. My favorite is the almond amaretto, and second favorite is good old vanilla.
I also am currently enjoying an instant coffee alternative called Bambu (because I ran out of my Teechino stash!). It's not quite as nice as Teechino, because you don't brew it, but I actually enjoy the convenience of having an instant drink.
Other than that, I am a big fan of herbal teas, especially chamomile, berry teas, or sometimes a good decaf earl gray. And, homemade apple cider (just made with real apple juice and simmered with cinnamon sticks and spices) is delicious!
No coffee alternatives here; I just enjoy the real thing too much! I'm hanging my head in shame!
My favorite cold weather drink is a Starbucks Caramel Macchiato. Of course, since it's Starbucks, I try not to get it very often.
Another cool thing about Teeccino is that if you have an espresso machine, you can brew it like espresso and make cappuccinos with it.
a peppermint mocha from starbucks and my grandmother's recipe for real hot cocoa!
I have been wanting to try Teecino for awhile now...maybe I should get one of those sample packs. My favorite cold weather drink is a chai tea latte. I rarely buy them out anymore as they are so easy to make at home. I can get a whole box of concentrate and a half gallon of milk for the price of two at Starbucks A:0) Your frugal posts have encouraged me a great deal in this area! Erica
Chai tea, definitely! But we have an even cheaper alternative than Mrs. Byers, above! We used to buy the tetra pak of concentrate and mix it with milk, which is, clearly cheaper than Starbucks (ANYTHING would be cheaper than that!LOL) But you can buy Chai Tea tea bags as well. You mix 1 bag to 2/3 c. milk and 1/3 c. water, bring to a boil, simmer 5 minutes, then add honey to taste. Its reeeeally cheap this way, and tastes equally yummy! Susan in Manitoba
I love chai. I make it at home by boiling the loose leaf spices with milk and water.
Chai means tea, so I also always get a little giggle when I see stores that post signs for "Chai Tea," which literally means, "Tea Tea."
Starbucks Mocha. With whole milk. And extra mocha. Yes, on the "whip," too!
Creamy, chocolate-y goodness!
Postum. Plant-based and caffeine-free :). With a little bit of real milk.
I am a hot tea fan of any kind...but in wintery months, I love spicy varieties, namely apple cinnamon and chai...with a tad of cream and sugar. :0)
I love Chai Tea. I will have to try the recipe here out. I bought the store stuff but it didnt taste as good. Maybe this one will work!
My children love hot cocoa.I am a coffee aficionado, too. It is really unhealthy, so I am always wanting a healthier alternative. I love Oregon Chai Tea. It is really tasty and is even available at most Walmarts. (www.oregonchai.com) Blessings!
I found this out from the organic grocery deals blog... If you go to teeccino.com and sign up for their newsletter, you can receive a FREE sample. I love free!

I would love to quit my Diet Coke habit. I am addicted to the caffeine. I know it is so unhealthy. I might try this coffee.
Thanks
I've always like a cup of hot apple cider, but my husband didn't care for the tartness and preferred hot tea. So, I combined them by steeping a bag of his tea in my cider and came up with "cider tea". It's a nice little compromise that we can both enjoy. :)
I am a coffee addict I am afraid. But being prego I try not to give in! Acctually with morning sickness I have had a total aversion which shocked me! But now that is passing and the cold weather setting in...oh a Starbucks sounds divine. Hmmm...guess I will be giving Teechino a whirl! I also love Chai and good old hot chocolate!!
My favorite all time cold weather drink has to be a peppermint mocha!
We have used Teeccino off and on over the last few years, when the pangs of guilt strike me because of coffee drinking :).
I was just thinking the other day that it might be time to start again, since the weather is cold & I'll be drinking more hot beverages. Thanks for reminding me :)
Why in the world would you deprive yourself of the number one mother's helper: COFFEE! :)
Seriously, I LOVE love love coffee. Did I say I love coffee? It gives me just the boost I need in the morning. I only have one cup so I dont feel I am over-doing it. I just cannot imagine trying to get thru the mornings without it. I guess I am addicted, which is probably not so good...
HOT JELL-O!
It's soothing on a sore throat, and there's so many flavors to choose from (although we buy the cheapest brand, which only has 4 flavors). You basically double the amount of hot water (or more; to your taste), and drink it like tea or cocoa. The kids love it, and I've even let them float marshmallows in it (for even MORE sugar)! As for me, pass me the coffee and cream, and everyone use moderation.
My homemade hot cocoa
Sounds like a very interesting drink! I may have to try it sometime.
As for my favorite cold weather drink it would have to be almost any flavor of Rooibos (African red) tea or the spiced chai tea that I make from a homemade mix. It's the same recipe for chai mix on Kim Coghlan's blog (Life in a Shoe).
Super good and super not so good for you. I only have it every once in a while and I try to make it with less sugar and reduced fat dry creamer. :) Wonderful to have out when guests are coming.
I drink a cup of rooibos about everyday during the winter months. It is very good for you (naturally decaf and full of anti-oxidents) Today I tried the Colada flavor. It tastes like Pina colada. Yum yum!
Thanks for sharing about the Teecino Herbal Coffee.
