Blessed beyond measure

My big helper and soon-to-be right arm.
And my little helper-in-training and soon-to-be left arm.

Have I mentioned lately how much I love being a mom? Having two has really been so much fun. To see them playing together, interacting, loving on one another, to hear Kathrynne teaching her little sister things I've taught her, to have Kathrynne constantly offering to help take care of her sister for me... I am truly blessed.

I might not always get a full night's sleep and my house might always be a little messy (or a little more than a little messy!), but that's okay. I'm blessed beyond measure to be given these two precious gifts from the Lord to train and raise for His glory. Oh, may I be faithful!

Very sweet pictures! Just today I was thinking of how blessed I am to be a mom and how things like the house being messy or supper being a little late don't really matter in the long run. My son is two and my daughter is almost one so it is really cute to see them interacting and growing up together. That matters much more to me than the trivial things!

Wow. Great pictures. I was just thinking the same, and my big girl (will be 2 in January) was just using our Swiffer this morning. After spilling a couple pieces of apple, she had to clean up the floor! :) She's also always lovin on her brother. She loves to "take care of him", give him what he needs and always offers to hold him when he's fussy.

So sweet! It Is such a blessing to spend my days with these little ones, and amazing to see how quickly they learn.

What cute little girls!! They look so happy and content!

I read Angel Unawares years ago when it was newly published...a wonderfully written book!! And Dale and Roy also lost some other children as well, and wrote books about that...As I recall one was called Dearest Debbie...and the one on her son, I cannot remember the title...their lives were not easy even though they were movie stars...and their faith shone through it all!!

That Kaitlynn has the most beautiful blue eyes!! My goodness! I have a baby girl almost 8 mos, and it is really fun to see my 6 yr old help out so much. She even got BOTH her little sisters (2 yrs and 7 mos) changed and dressed the other morning before I got to their room. Quite the little momma!

By the way, what kind of mop is that and what kind do you recommend? I have been using a Clorox cleanup mop, and am very happy it finally broke, because it is really not very effective. Which one should I set my sights on now?

I can remember my daughter helping with the bathroom when she was about that age,she has to clean her own now or else it stays dirty.

Precious! Beautiful little girls.

I noticed that Kathrynne wears pants sometimes in the photos you post. What is your stance on little girls and dresses/pants? My little girl is three, and it's kind of tough. She usually wears dresses in the summer, and in the winter my Mom (because I don't know how to sew!) makes her very full, bloomer-style pants to go with her dresses, and we use the dresses as "tops". I was just wondering if you plan to go dresses/skirts only when your girls reach a certain age (which I think is what we are going to do), or are you going to let them wear pants too?

The blessings have only just begun! My eldest is almost 7 and I am so amazed by her. Not only is she a huge help around the house with dishes, laundry and cleaning, but she has recently started to encourage me in ways I never thought a 6 year old could. Sometimes I think she understands the gospel and God's sovereignty better than I do.
My kids 6,4,2 and 3 months are best friends. We tell them that all the time so they never forget. It's so fun to see them play together and encourage one another.
Keep up the good training!~
