Clear Out The Clutter Challenge: Day 2 and 3

I didn't have a chance to post about my clutter-busting yesterday, so you get a two-for-one today.

I cleaned out the upstairs including our bedroom and bathroom and the girls' bedroom and bathroom. The end result was this huge ole' pile of stuff going straight to our garage sale stash:

It sure feels nice to have cleared out all that space in our cupboards and drawers!

Also, speaking of homemaking projects, the winners of the copies of Queen of the Castle are: Betty Jo and Catherine.

I've kept a big shopping bag in my closet throughout the year, and have filled it up all along with items of clothing that are a little past their prime. Also, whenever I've gotten something new, I've placed something old in the bag. The bag is now full with quality but tired items from my closet, and is ready to give away to the Salvation Army in a few weeks- and, I won't have to spend any time on a closet de-clutter.

I just read your previous post about Home Management with Toddlers and I just wanted to comment.

I read a study once about toddlers: the researchers had a young, very fit Marine Corps recruit imitate every single movement a toddler made over the course of the day. Guess who was still standing at the end of the day? :-)

Toddlers are demanding, and toddlerhood is more than the terrible twos. Or threes.

And, as fellow over-achiever, I know how hard it can be to say no to a good idea. Or to a good cause.
