Making Your Home a Haven: Take time to beautify!

In an effort to make your home a haven and bless and refresh all those who would enter its doors, I want to encourage you to take a few moments to beautify at least one area of your home. Maybe it's picking some fresh flowers and making a simple arrangement for the kitchen table, or rearranging some furniture, or hanging a picture.

Think about something simple you can do to make your home a more welcoming haven and then do it! I'll share pictures of what I do later on today!

Crystal,

Perfect! Simple! I think I can handle this today. (Or at least this week.) It's nice to have an easy yet rewarding task to break up the bigger more challenging ones.
Thanks,
Merrilee

I really like our front porch to be welcoming. I still haven't figured out what to do with inside the entry? I'll try and post picture when it's cooler later today.

That's the motivation I needed to get out there and pick some of the beautiful roses and hydrangeas that I've been meaning to pick all last week. I can't wait to get those colors and scents in the house! :)

Great idea, Crystal! I've changed up my downstairs 1/2 bath and posted pics. :D Thank you so much for the inspiration!

thanks for the encouragement! Many years ago, the LORD reminded me that He didn't care as much about how my house looked...as He cared about my attitude in stewarding my home (i.e.- my family relationships!) and yes, creating a haven we all love to be a part of...

I CONSTANTLY need that reminder!

Bountiful Blessings!

Crystal, thanks for this reminder. It got me to finish up an area I've been meaning to do and not getting to. I'm so happy now that it's done!

There is beauty in finding ways to make small spaces look nice and serve a purpose. We have a section in our master bath that is just an awkward space. But I found a way to make the space useful with a pretty shelf, or in this case a plant stand. It is fun to look for ways to beautify even spaces like the bathroom.
Thanks
Stephanie

I took just a few minutes to put up some photographs in a corner of our living room on the weekend. It makes such a big difference & took only about 10 minutes or so to complete.
