A missionary in my own home

Yesterday Kathrynne intently looked up and asked me, "Do you know why Jesus died on the cross?"

Curious to see what she'd answer I said, "Why?"

Her eager reply: "For our sins. To be the pro-pi-ti-a-tion for our sins."

While I doubt she completely understands the meaning of "propitiation" (and don't even ask me where she picked up that word!), it so warms my heart to see her delight and interest in God and His Word.

At breakfast this morning she asked, "What does it mean to be a Christian?"

I may not be ministering to multitudes of heathens in third-world countries, but I have opportunities every day to share the glorious Gospel of Jesus Christ with my children.

O Lord, may I be faithful to shine as an example before my children. May they see Jesus reflected in and through my life!

A special mother-daughter outing at Social Suppers (I was asked to write a review for them for MoneySavingMom, so we got to do a complimentary cooking session!)
